April As usual, we have had a fantastic end to the Summer, and an even better start to the th 5 Juniors Round 1 Winter season! May with a visit from former NBA and NBL player, Luke Schenscher! Luke came out 3rd-6th State Champs to run through some drills with some of our taller players. It certainly was 20th Committee Meeting exciting to have his time and experience shared with our members!!  Western Magic pride ourselves the support and involvement in club carnivals. Western Magic would like to introduce you to our new Junior Skills Director, Marley Radbone. Marley is a former Norwood first year division one player, two time MVP and soon to be accredited coach. Marley is very excited to be joining the Magic family and has a passionate drive to encourage the development of our young players and nurture their love of Basketball. Welcome to the team Marley! Competition Time!! Calling all budding or experienced photographers!!! Over the current winter season we will be running a photo competition, you can enter by posting your latest action shot onto our closed Facebook page.

Towards the end of the season we will close the comp and judge the results, with the lucky winner being announced at the end of season presentation night…..they will also receive a $100 Bunnings voucher, and maybe a couple of other surprises, for their effort. Note that you may be requested to provide a high res version of your photo, and all entries will become the property of the club, they may just happen to be good enough for us to use for promotional purposes!!!!

The City of Charles Sturt is highly supportive of grass roots sporting activities, including our club. Magic also are very active participants in the school holiday program organised by Charles Sturt, that provides outstanding "come and try" opportunities in a broad range of sporting activities. Our links with the city saw us selected for one of their promotional initiatives where we were partnered with the Adelaide 36ers on a banner proudly displayed on Port Road.
