Setup Computer/Mobile Device

Computer (MacOS or Windows) 1. Make sure you are connected to eduroam 2. Go to watch.philo.com 3. Click on “Log in with UNCG Credentials” on the top right of the screen 4. Sign in with your UNCG credentials 5. You should be able to select what you want to iOS 1. Make sure you are connected to eduroam 2. Go to the App Store 3. Search for Philo and download the app 4. Open the App and log in with your UNCG credentials 5. You should now be able to select what you want to watch

Android 1. Make sure you are connected to eduroam 2. Go to the Play Store 3. Search for Philo and download the app 4. Open the App and log in with your UNCG credentials 5. You should now be able to select what you want to watch

Setup

Connect Roku to Wireless

1. Hook up the Roku to your TV and a power source and select the correct input for your Roku 2. If this is a Roku it will ask your Language and then search for Wireless networks 3. Scroll to Scan again to see all networks to get your wireless MAC address

4. On your computer go to Mediaconnect.uncg.edu and log in with your UNCG credentials 5. On that page select Create Device

6. Name your device anything you would like and enter the MAC address 7. Then click on the Register Device button

8. You should see Finished Creating Device 9. Wait 15 minutes then tell your Roku to connect to UNCG-Wireless 10. If your Roku asks where you are located select “I am at home” 11. Your Roku will now check for updates and restart after it installs them 12. Set your display type to the appropriate resolution

Creating/Connecting to Roku Account

13. Now your Roku will want you to link to your Roku Account here is a video walking you through setting a Roku account and linking your Roku: https://youtu.be/Bz5f4rkQ7Bw?t=3m19s 14. After linking your Roku to your account you should be at the Main Roku

Adding Philo Channel

15. On your computer go to my.roku.com/add/philoedu and select , add channel, you may have to log back into your Roku account

16. If you see a message stating this isn’t a certified channel click “Ok” 17. On your Roku go to Settings>System>System Update>Check Now, this will download the Philo Channel to your Roku 18. Open the Philo channel and it will give you a code 19. On your laptop go to watch.philo.com and login 20. Click on Roku Registration at the bottom of the screen and then enter your Roku device code

21. Philo should now activate on your Roku and list all the available channels

Setup AppleTV

The Apple TV does not have a Philo app so to use one you will need to use AirPlay Mirroring from an iOS device or a Mac 1. Register your Apple TV through mediaconnect a. For instructions go to: GO.UNCG.EDU/mediaconnect b. Make sure select the Enable Airgroup option 2. Connect to the AppleTV using AirPlay Mirroring a. On iOS swipe up from the bottom of your device click on AirPlay Mirroring and then select Apple TV b. On MacOS click on the AirPlay icon on the top of your computer and select the Apple TV 3. Go to watch.philo.com if you are on a Mac or open the Philo app if you are on an iOS device 4. Select what you would like to watch on the Mac or iOS device and it should mirror to your AppleTV
