Dress Code: Attention SHS students please take notice that the Crop Top Carnival is over starting Monday, August 23rd. Please remember that mid-drift shirts, tube tops, and hats or head coverings of any kind are not allowed on campus one hour before school and one hour after school. Please dress reasonably so we may maintain a certain school appropriate decorum. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. (SHS ADM)

Seniors: “Partake in this classic Shasta High tradition, Senior Sunrise! Be at the Diestelhorst Bridge this Friday (tomorrow) August 20th at 6:30AM to watch the sunrise and mark the beginning of your senior year. Then, in May, we will gather again to watch the sunset. There will be food and drinks. Come and enjoy the morning with your fellow seniors!" (Archibald)

Work Permit: If you have a work permit from last school year, it will be expiring on Aug. 20th. Please come pick up a new work permit from the attendance office so it can be completed, so you can continue to work. (Attendance)

Students enrolled in off campus CTE or AG (AOJ, Early Childhood Ed, Construction, Chef Prep, Fire I and all AG classes)- If you have CTE/AG 2nd and 3rd periods, the bus leaves right at 8:40 am; you will need to leave 1st period a few minutes early. If you have CTE/AG 5th and 6th periods, the bus leaves right at 12:15. This is in the middle of lunch so be sure to watch the time. Buses will pick up at the bottom of the stairs on the north (downhill) side of the gym. Bus schedules will also be posted on Career Center door and on board outside Student Store. (Noble)

Homecoming Dance: “Shasta Highs Annual COLOR BLAZE Homecoming Dance: Saturday, Sept. 11th from 8-11pm!! This is a color dance, so we suggest wearing all white to get the most fun out of the color! The first 100 people in will get a free packet of color! There will be more on sale at the dance, along with Kona Ice, a DJ, and a photobooth! Tickets will be on sale STARTING MONDAY AUG. 23rd online through the webstore, and will go on sale in person starting Thursday Aug. 26th during lunch, outside the attendance office! SINGERS WANTED! The top vocal music program in Northern wants YOU! Please join the award-winning Shasta High Choir. Mr. Spencer loves teaching students to sing, regardless of skill level. Shasta offers 5 singing classes that are great for all vocal abilities. If you’d like to be a part of a family- like atmosphere where you will make lifelong friends, then the Shasta High Choir is for YOU! Also, if you like exploring the world, the choir is travelling to The Netherlands this coming summer - June 2022. Lastly, any of these classes will fulfill your fine arts requirement for graduation. The Shasta Band and Orchestra is looking for a few (or many) good students to become a part of our musical family. The musicians are an integral part of our Shasta High School community that perform for football games, rallies, Madrigal dinner, concerts and the school musical. Our Jazz band has gone to the Folsom Jazz Festival and won many awards and superior ratings. If you played before we want you back and even if you have not played before we will help you learn what you need to know to be a part of our team! Come by and talk with Mr. Polcari, or even better find a student in band and/or orchestra and ask them all your questions. (Polcari)

Clubs: Trap Club: We had a good go last year and this year we are looking to expand. With that in mind, if you are interested in being part of the Shasta High Trap and Sporting Club Team, join the Shasta Trap Club Google Classroom with the QR code which can be found on the electronic billboards in the hallway or on the door of room 912. Make sure to attend the meeting at lunch in room 912 Tuesday, August 23, 2021 for more information. Don’t let the date fly by. The fall registration deadline is September 10th. (Mosher)

Career Center: Turtle Bay is looking for teen volunteers. Learn how you can become a Turtle Bay hero and see where your superpowers can fit into our volunteer program! Sports: Swim Team will be conducting the Tryout period starting this week, from 3-5 pm at the pool. You must have a sports physical packet completed and turned into the Main Office. If coaches have your blue card, you will be .-(Coach Chip and Coach Stack)

Freshman Football: Anyone wishing to play Freshmen Football needs to pick up an Athletic Packet from the office and turn it back in by Friday, August 20th. Please contact Coach Cahill if you have any questions.

Volleyball players - Tryouts will be held M-F of this week from 3:30 to 5:30 in the large gym. Please arrive at 3:15 ready to play. You will need your athletic packet and physical turned into the office to participate. We will see you there. (Taylor)

Boys - Boys Basketball Meeting Wednesday 8/25/2021 in Coach Freilich's Room 922. The meeting is for all grade levels and we will go over the open gym schedule, blue cards and the upcoming season for Wolfpack Basketball. (Freilich)
