RO VI Welcomes 22 New Agents from Class Gandilan

Twenty-two (22) new agent recruits from the different regions are deployed in Region VI and were officially welcomed into the regional office last June 28, 2018.

The Class was first introduced to different division and section chiefs and were toured around the RO VI facilities followed by a boodle fight during lunch. Initiation rites followed suit in the evening.

PDEA RO VI Holds its First Ever Sports Fest for 16th Anniversary

In view of the proposed anniversary-related activity on Health and Wellness Program for the Personnel, PDEA RO VI conducted its first Sports Fest Basketball and Volleyball Competition in line with the theme “Stronger We Fight: PDEA, Onwards We Lead.”

Agents, Admin and Case Monitoring Personnel participated in the said activity last June 7, 2018 at 3:00PM held at the Iloilo Doctors College Gymnasium. The Sports Festival Included competition on Basketball ( Men and Women ), Volleyball (Men, Women and Mixed) and awarding of the winning teams including Most Valuable Player Awards.

Said activity aimed to bolster health and wellness as well as camaraderie and sportsmanship among all personnel of RO VI. Awarding Ceremony followed suit last June 8, 2018 held at the PDEA Regional Office VI Conference Room at 6:00 PM.

RO VI Recognizes Counterparts and Celebrates Employees Night for 16th Anniversary

PDEA Regional Office VI in line with the nationwide celebration of the agency’s 16th founding anniversary held its Thanksgiving Mass and Recognition Program in line with the theme “Stronger We Fight: PDEA, Onwards We Lead.” The said program started at 9:00 AM last June 8, 2018 at the Casa Real, Old Provincial Capitol Building, where Atty. Hernando C. Galvez, City Administrator of , attended the event as Guest of Honor and Speaker, in behalf of Mayor Jose S. Espinosa III.

Awards and recognition were presented to the PDEA RO VI partners and stakeholders as well as to the excellent performing personnel which included the Best Agent Awards and acknowledgment of all members of the Drug Clearing Team. Partners included officials from the PNP, DILG, DOH, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Media and the Local Government Unit.

Also, RO VI personnel held its Employees Night and Awarding Ceremony last June 8, 2018 at 6:00PM after the Recognition Program and was held at the PDEA RO VI Conference Room and Mess Hall with the theme “PDEA Sweet 16” Employees Night and Sports Fest Awarding Ceremony.

The awarding ceremony included the following winners and most valuable players: Volleyball Champion – Mixed Division – Green Team (under Agent Thessa B. Albaño (Acting Asst. Regional Director) and Agent Meynard O. Villaluz (Chief, Operations Division). Most Valuable Player Award – Ms. Mia Faye P. Legaspi (CEO).

Basketball Champion – Men’s Division – Yellow Team (under Dir. Wardley M. Getalla (Acting Regional Director) and Ms. Gretchen Bo-Peep G. Giner (Chief, Admin Division). Most Valuable Player Award – Agent Orville Kim Gil

Basketball Champion – Women’s Division - Yellow Team (under Dir. Wardley M. Getalla (Acting Regional Director) and Ms. Gretchen Bo-Peep G. Giner (Chief, Admin Division). Most Valuable Player Award – Agent Realyn Pinpin. Sportsmanship Award – Agent Warren Das and Agent Yola Mae Tembrevilla.

ROC conducts Drug Caravan

Regional Oversight Committee for Anti-Illegal Drugs conducted DRUG CARAVAN for Drug Clearing and Community-Based Rehabilitation Program last June 13, 2018 at Gov. Corazon Cabagnot Training and Tourism Center, Old Buswang, , .

RO VI Interview K9 Handler Applicants

Eighteen (18) applicants for K9 handler position underwent panel interview last June 21, 2018 held at the Conference Room, PDEA RO VI Regional Office.

Out of 18, eight (8) will be chosen to be official K9 Handlers for Region VI. Present during the panel interview was Deputy Regional Director Thessa B. Albaño, Chief Admin Gretchen Bo-peep G. Giner, PIO David Abraham G. Garcia, HRMO Cibeleo P. Nobleza Jr., IA V Julie Tejido and Ms. Divine Grace N. Guacin and Mr. Ricky P. Milante (Animal Keeper).

PDEA RO VI holds 6th ROC Deliberation

Regional Oversight Committee deliberates nine (9) Municipalities for Drug-Cleared status last June 22, 2018 held at the Function Hall, Club 21, Smallville Complex, including Nabas, New Washington and Madalag Aklan, Hamtic, , Anini-y, , and Anilao Iloilo.

Antique gears for Barangay Drug Clearing of Entire Province

Antique Province, June 26,2018 – PDEA VI attended Provincial Peace and Order Council Meeting with Governor Rhodora Cadiao to discuss Barangay Drug Clearing efforts. PDEA Representative Cibeleo P. Nobleza, Jr. also presented the BDCP updates in the province.

The intensified efforts of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program is in line with the Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation strengthening said program nationwide.

PDEA VI Orients on Documentary Requirements of BDCP

Negros Occidental, June 20, 2018 – PDEA VI Barangay Drug Clearing Team headed by Cibeleo P. Nobleza, Jr. and Joseph Anthony D. Yee attended Barangay Drug Clearing Orientation to the City and Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Councils last June 20, 2018 at the Social Hall, Provincial Capitol .

The orientation included document preparation of all drug clearing requirements which includes involvement of the anti-drug abuse councils and their respective oversight committees.

Aklan PPOC discuss Drug Situation and Clearing Operations

Aklan, June 29, 2018 – Provincial Officer for Aklan, Agent Gerald Sanguenza together with Mr. Stephen Roy P. Macariza attended the Joint Peace and Order Council and Province of Aklan Meeting on June 29, 2018 held at the Governor's Room, Provincial Capitol, Kalibo, Aklan.

Agent Sanguenza presented current drug situation in the Province of Aklan including emphasis on the parameters of the Barangay Drug Clearing Program.
