University, Sambalpur, Odisha, India. ABSTRACT ‘Fani’ is extremely serve cyclonic storm and also the strong to strike the Odisha, is a state of India. Fani was landfall near Puri Marine drive road in Odisha as an extremely severe cyclonic storm, with 3 minute sustained winds of 185 km/hr and one minute sustained winds 250 km/hr. Due to Fani cyclonic impact there are huge damage and loss was faced the . In this article highlights of Fani Cyclone origin, impacts and also the management of disaster respectively. Keywords: Cyclone, Severe, Damage, Loss, Remedies. I. INTRODUCTION Generally, a cyclone is a huge scale air mass that rotate around the strong centre of atmospheric low pressure. It’s diameter is having about 650 km, anticlock wise in northern hemisphere and clock wise in southern hemisphere. Also it’s energy power is equal to more than 10,000 atomic bombs. Mostly the tropical cyclones are originate at or near Odisha coast. The name of the tropical cyclone is found in different countries or continents as, Willy Willy in Australia, Typhoons in China sea, Hurricane at USA, Taifu in Japan, Cyclone is called in India and etc. Mainly the cyclone is held on tropical zone, so it’s called as tropical cyclone. ‘Fani’ is extremely serve cyclonic storm and also the strong tropical cyclone to strike the Odisha, is a state of India. After the super cyclone of 1999 it’s occur after 20 years in 3rd May 2019 severely. Fani originated from a tropical depression that formed west of Sumatra in the Indian Ocean on 26 April. Vertical wind shear at first hindered the storm’s development but conditions became more favourable for Fani on April 30. Fani rapidly intensified into an extremely severe cyclonic storm and reached its peak intensity on 2 May, with one minute sustained winds equivalent to a category of 5 major hurricane. Fani slightly weekend before making its land fall, and its convective structure rapidly degraded thereafter, degrading into a remnant low on 4 May, and dissipating on the next day. of the tropical cyclone Fani

Fani quickly weakened after peak intensity, at 8 AM IST on 3rd May 2019. Fani was landfall near Puri Marine drive road in Odisha as an extremely severe cyclonic storm, with 3 minute sustained winds of 185 km/hr and one minute sustained winds 250 km/hr. Fani continued to weekend after landfall, weakening to a cyclonic storm later that day, before passing just North of on 4th May, Fani weakened to deep depression and moved into Bangladesh, before degenerating into a well- marked low later on the same day. On 5th May Fani’s remnant low dissipated over .
