The Giuseppe Cappochin Atelier, now Atelier Cappochin, was founded in 1982 by the architect Giuseppe Cappochin and offers a high quality wide range of services in the field of architecture and urban development planning. A dedicated multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers and surveyors delivers innovative projects under-pinned by the latest research, with a specific fo- cus on the social and environmental impact of the product. Over the years the studio has completed projects for a diverse range of clients including private individuals, local governments, regional authorities and international clients. Davide Cappochin has joined the Atelier Cappochin having worked for Renzo Piano Building Workshop and Tectoo archi- tects. Davide brings significant international experience to the team which will further broaden the scope of this successful team. We are able to offer an exceptional baggage of knowledge and expertise that embraces every aspect of a building’s design, ensuring continuity and quality at every stage of a project, com- bining advanced building technology with more traditional and crafted techniques. Every project requires adaptability,which is a fundamental quality we have acquired having worked with a variety of clients including individuals, city councils, Boards of Trustees and developers, translating and interpreting their needs and expectations while linking the collective demands of the public and the environmental context.

3 Giuseppe Cappochin FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL Born in on March 4, 1949 he graduated in Architecture in (I.U.A.V.) on 1982. On 1983, he founded his own firm, “Gi- useppe Cappochin Atelier” now “Atelier Cappochin”, which deals with architectural design and large scale planning, implementation plan- ning, public-private agreements. Here a selection of the main projects: P.T.C.P. (Prov. Coordination Area Territorial Plan) – Consultation on the revision of the settlement systems of the Prov. Territorial Plan; P.A.T.I. Metropolitan Community of Padua (17 Municipalities – pop. n°420.000); P.A.T.I. of Camposampierese (11 municipality – pop. n° 100.000), P.A.T. (Territory Plan) and P.I. (Intervention Plan) of Trev- iso, 85.000 pop.; Planning for urban redevelopment of an area at the Corso United States in the Municipality of Padua, m3 100.000; Urban planning of an area in the Municipality of S. Pietro in Cariano (Verona) through two separate urban plans implemented with com- mercial-management destination, m2 130.000. He is president of the Barbara Cappochin Foundation. The Foundation seeks to promote the development of quality architecture worldwide by launching a bienni- al International Prize for Architecture which is opened to participants from all over the world. The Foundation also curate architecture exhi- bitions of world renowned architects at the Palazzo della Ragione in Padova includes Mario Botta, David Chipperfield, Kengo Kuma, Zaha Hadid, Michele de Lucchi and Renzo Piano. In March 2016 he was elected National President of the National Council of Architects, Land- scape Planners and Conservators (CNAPPC).

Davide Cappochin DIRECTOR Davide Cappochin graduated with honors from the IUAV University of Venice. Following his studies, he worked as an architect at the Giuseppe Cappochin Atelier, now Atelier Cappochin, where he was able to tackle projects of various architectural and urban scale and then moved to Genoa to work as an architect at the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, where he worked in multiple projects in all the design phases from Concept Design to Construction Design, including the commercial T5 project, in the context of the project to regenerate the Falck areas in Sesto San Giovanni, the Packard Humanities Center Archeological Museum in Herculaneum, and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Oscar Award Headquarter; following his experience in RPBW he moved to to work as an architect at Tectoo Architects (founded by the architect Susanna Scarabicchi who was a Partner for over 25 years at RPBW), where he integrated his experience in projects with different functions, such as the Milanosesto Masterplan UCP1A-1E district, the Concordia School and the Laminatoio School, a New Museum and Educational Center in Herculaneum, and the Al Baleed Gardens complex in Salalah in Oman. In 2017 he became part of the “Atelier Cappochin”, from 2018 as director.

Design Process The key phase, during which through the use of physical and digital models we share with Clients Authorities and general Sta- keholders every aspect, using for the different phase the best consultants for MEP structures and sustainable strategies.

Technologies We approach the project life cicle (design pre Construction, construction and operate/maintenance) using Building Inforna- tion Modelling: BIM allow to take the better decision in the early project phases, better collaboration with all stakeholders until the construction phase and holders until the construction phase.

Presentation We are a creatice hub always looking for the best way to present the projects, thanks to the experience in successful firms and iconic project, we present the design process in order to under- stand the history and the goal design.

6 PROJECTS

7 Architecture We deals with various architectural typologies, from the residen- ces to offices to multifunctional buildings. Our projects are always based on careful contextualization of the work through light, sha- pe, materials and landscape. There are still on-going single-fa- mily homes, residential complexes aimed at the market of the moment, with an interest also for the recovery and preservation of the buildings. The process includes a 360-degree study, from the preliminary phase to the execution with a careful design of the details, making the client always part of the whole process.

Urban Planning_Masterplan

In this context, our approach is aimed above all on the commu- nity. The needs of contemporary society are often at the center of the planning landscape of many cities both in Europe and in the other parts. Intelligent territorial planning and the adop- tion of solutions aimed at making the urban environment more sustainable, as well as developing a sustainable economy and ensuring good quality of life for its inhabitants are the goal of the proposed projects.

Urban Planning_Governace We deals with various large scale planning, implementation plan- ning, public-private agreements, with the experience of over 30 years, a clear and efficient method to better interpret the reque- sts of public or private customers, increased with the constant study of the cities and urban laws that govern them.
