THE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN , CARLTON ON TRENT, FARNDON, , EDWINSTOWE, , SOUTHWELL, FISKERTON AND BALDERTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITIONS) ORDER 2020 (NK203-20)

WHEREAS the Nottinghamshire County Council (hereinafter called "the Council") being the traffic authority for the length of highway referred to in Articles 1 and 2 of this Order is satisfied that the use of the said length of highway should be restricted by reason of the works proposed to be executed in or near the said highway.

NOW THEREFORE the Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, hereby makes the following Order in respect of roads at Clipstone, Carlton on Trent, Farndon, Farnsfield, Edwinstowe, Rainworth, Southwell, Fiskerton and Balderton in the District of : -

1. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in the following length of road: -

a) B6030 Road, Clipstone – for its entire length. b) A1 Slip Road, Great North Road, Carlton on Trent – for its entire length. c) Hawthorne Crescent, Farndon – for its entire length. d) The Willows, Farndon – for its entire length. e) Chapel Lane, Farnsfield – for its entire length. f) Merryweather Close, Edwinstowe – for its entire length. g) Curzon Close, Rainworth – for its entire length. h) Churchfield Drive, Rainworth – for its entire length. i) Chatsworth Avenue, Southwell – for its entire length. j) Marlock Close, Fiskerton – for its entire length. k) Queen Street, Balderton – for its entire length. l) Lacey Green, Balderton – for its entire length. m) Elton Close, Balderton – for its entire length. n) Waltham Close, Balderton – for its entire length. o) Loveden Close, Balderton – for its entire length. p) Knipton Close, Balderton – for its entire length. q) Hardy Close, Balderton – for its entire length. r) Barkston Close, Balderton – for its entire length. s) Denton Close, Balderton – for its entire length.

2. No person shall cause any vehicle to stop, both sides, at any time in the following lengths of road:-

a) B6030 Mansfield Road, Clipstone – for its entire length. b) A1 Slip Road, Great North Road, Carlton on Trent – for its entire length. c) Hawthorne Crescent, Farndon – for its entire length. d) The Willows, Farndon – for its entire length. e) Chapel Lane, Farnsfield – for its entire length. f) Merryweather Close, Edwinstowe – for its entire length. g) Curzon Close, Rainworth – for its entire length. h) Churchfield Drive, Rainworth – for its entire length. i) Chatsworth Avenue, Southwell – for its entire length. j) Marlock Close, Fiskerton – for its entire length. k) Queen Street, Balderton – for its entire length. l) Lacey Green, Balderton – for its entire length. m) Elton Close, Balderton – for its entire length. n) Waltham Close, Balderton – for its entire length. o) Loveden Close, Balderton – for its entire length. p) Knipton Close, Balderton – for its entire length. q) Hardy Close, Balderton – for its entire length. r) Barkston Close, Balderton – for its entire length. s) Denton Close, Balderton – for its entire length.

3. Nothing in Article 1 of this Order shall apply so as to make it unlawful for any vehicle to proceed in the lengths of road specified in the said Article for the purposes of access to or egress from premises, provided that the said access or egress may only be gained by proceeding over the length of road specified in the said Article, provided that the works being carried out would not be inconveniently interrupted.

4. No prohibition, restriction or prescription contained in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for • police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes • proceeding at the direction, or with the permission of, a police constable • being used in connection with the said works.

5. Any existing restrictions, prohibitions previously introduced by an order made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 will be temporarily suspended for so long as this order is in force and traffic signs are in place.

6. In this Order “works” means works being carried out by or on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council.

7. For so long as, and to the extent that, traffic signs (authorised under the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions in force on the date this Order is made) indicating the effect of the prohibition contained in Article 1 and 2 of this Order is placed, that prohibition shall be enforced.

8. This Order may be cited as "The Nottinghamshire County Council (Various Roads in Clipstone, Carlton on Trent, Farndon, Farnsfield, Edwinstowe, Rainworth, Southwell, Fiskerton and Balderton) (Temporary Prohibitions) Order 2020 (NK203-20)" and shall come into force on the 25th day of September 2020 and continue until the works are complete.
