SUARA SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2018 _ 11 HOW DO WE DO IT?

WE INNOVATE

At Suara we are committed to innovation as part of our working methods. In 2018 we made a commitment to further reinforce this factor looking to the future: by moving Suara’s corporate offices, a physical space was created for SuaraLab www.suaralab.cat, Suara’s social innovation laboratory, that aims to respond to social challenges to transform people’s environment and care. Thus we are opting to grasp new ideas and implement new projects, with a clear commitment to entrepreneurship and working with the start-up ecosystem based on technology, starting with new methods and implementing technology in the provision of services.

Our innovative culture has also gradually propagated throughout the whole organisation, through hackathon sessions (marathon of hackers), a collective experience in which people with different profiles participate with the aim of providing solutions to a social challenge. During 2018, eight hackathons were held, which assembled 120 professionals from Suara, in addition to the people attended, clients and experts.

During 2018, we also had eight thematic hubs in action, through study groups that carry out a project. Highlights include examples that have enabled us to go deeper into new childcare methods, improvements in the field of mental health and healthy business, or new ways of working within the scope of prison services and juvenile justice, among others.

We are committed to implementing technology in the provision of services
