A new investment underway at Kimberly-Clark’s Mobile mill will increase the local facility’s product portfolio, grow production and improve the mill’s competitive position within the company structure. The Texas-based company is spending $29.3 million locally on two new projects in addition to a $101 million investment in 2018 and $110 million announced in 2017. Of the new projects, the first creates a new product line in Mobile with equipment needed to make Kimtech Science Wipes, a low-lint wipe in anti- static packaging used for glasses, electronics and lab equipment.
