Dear Secretary Phillips:

This letter and enclosure are provided as the Public Involvement Program (PIP) Plan Tracking Report for the Danskammer Energy Center, which proposes the repowering of Danskammer Energy’s Danskammer Generating Station site. Submittal of this tracking report is consistent with the PIP Plan that was most recently submitted to the Commission on July 25, 2018.

The proposed repowering of the Danskammer Generating Station site will result in a new modern energy center through the installation of new, state-of-the-art electric generators. The new energy center, which will be known as the “Danskammer Energy Center”, will provide a more efficient and cost-effective facility to produce electricity while minimizing impacts on the surrounding communities and providing tax benefits into the future.

The enclosed meeting log summarizes the actions that have already been taken regarding the Project’s Public Involvement Program and the planned future activities. Supplemental information (responses to Article 10 Application deficiencies) was submitted by Danskammer Energy to the DPS on July 8, 2020. We have also held more project meetings (virtually as well as conference call discussions) with municipal officials and other stakeholders.
