DRAFT: 1965 38th National YMCA & Diving Championship Meet April 22-24th, 1965 Hosted by Westfield, New Jersey YMCA Held at Wallace Pool Westfield YMCA

There were 40 Associations and 217 Participants from 12 states in attendance at this year’s YMCA National Championship Meet held in the Westfield, New Jersey YMCA. The host team became the second New Jersey YMCA to win a National Championship title. Previously the Orange, NJ YMCA won three consecutive Championships in 1932,

1933, and 1934.

Special Note: Prior to the finals on Saturday evening April 24th Don Schollander, a freshman from who had won 4 Gold Medals in swimming at the 1964 Olympics in Rome was introduced to the crowd and spoke briefly. In addition, Don presented the medals to the winning teams in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay.
