Whether you are from Europe, USA, South Asia, Latin America, or anywhere else – we want to hear from you. What is #AgrifoodBeatsCoronavirus (ABC) Startups #ABCStartups? The #Startups ABC Program is an initiative that seeks 100 Startups from anywhere in the world from any industry related to the Agrifood chain aplicable to: - Agriculture, Liverstock, Fishing and Food - Transformation Industry - Agrifood cooperatives - Internet of things, IoT - Big Data - Artificial Intelligence - Blockchain - Technical support - Logistics - Food and Delivery - Decrease carbon footprints - Elimination of the use of plastic - Coronavirus Free - Protection of workers COVID-19 - application of prevention protocols COVID - 19 We will select the 10 best startups among the 100 projects and solutions submitted. The main objective of #ABC Startupd is to become the largest Virtual Elevator Pitch in the world, in which companies, investors, universities and entrepreneurs can participate. The initiative is promoted and coordinated by the INTEC Foundation together with the national organizations of the SmartAgrifood Seed Network of Open Innovation Ecosystems. Which is made up of local ecosystems from 24 countries around the world, mainly from Europe, the United States, Latin America and Southeast Asia, in collaboration with the industrial sector and interested investors. What is ABC Startup about? 1 #ABCStartups offers a global organizational and technical framework in which participants can participate virtually by presenting their projects and solutions in the agri-food sector to relevant technical, political and social problems in the context of the Coronavirus crisis. #ABCStartups seeks to collectively develop innovative solutions based on high-tech, low- tech, hardware and software, through the use of biotechnology, digital technology, social science and other innovation areas. ABC Startups Working Paper Envisioning a journey for an entrepreneurial project Before we start, we have to realize that all entrepreneurs dream of destiny and of their project. They think deeply about why they want to do it - and with whom. Travelling for rest and relaxation is completely different from setting out on a journey to experience the adventure of exploring an endless number of possibilities. To plan this journey out properly, though, means we have to define - pretty much explicitly - why we are doing it and what our aims are. And of course, the key factors in this process are the resources we have at our disposal, the budget available, and the people we can ask for help or advice. Once we have these components in place, we start to move. We plan the route, visits, and activities, and then we launch our project. And upon our return - consciously or unconsciously - we make an assessment. We go over how it went and what mistakes we made. And by doing that, we start to learn. But what makes for a good journey? What will we alter next time and what will keep the same? Each day we have to deal with planning our own personal projects, big and small - a trip, choice of a job, organizing our day. Developing the skills to create new ideas and planning projects – that is an innovation project Project Selection Process Our intention is to work with an open mind about each team's ability to develop a project as part of the move towards our goal of gradually building up an entrepreneurial ecosystem for AgriFood. 2 Projects in any of the following areas could be chosen: 1. Others One of the challenges we face in creating an innovation ecosystem is how to choose from the different ideas that emerge during the innovation process itself. Which ideas do you choose? Which ideas do you start prototyping? How do you put it into operation? How do you make your project viable? Do you already have a minimum viable product? Or, even better, you already have a project that's doing very well, and some clients, but now you want to develop it further to win a larger market. This is the event for you. Get your project ready. Leading the innovation process requires the team to develop a lot of ideas (both good and bad) and blend them creatively. Mirow* The Spanish Constitution of Cádiz of 1812 has recently gained the attention of constitutionalists and legal historians as an essential step in the development of world constitutionalism generally and Latin American constitutionalism more specifically. This interest in the Constitution of Cádiz, or the Spanish Constitution of 1812, has increased due to its bicentennial in 2012 and by the rolling bicentennials of independence of Latin American republics. The main dimensions of analysis to be considered are: A - Geographical area of interest: The region of Aragón is one of the seventeen autonomous communities that form Spain. Aragón is divided in 3 provinces: to describe the territorial Huesca, Zaragoza (Saragossa) and Teruel, with 739 municipalities (Huesca: 202, Zaragoza: 291 Teruel: 236). Field work consisted of a soil survey and a campaign of irrigation evaluation. The results of the irrigation evaluations were extrapolated to the whole district using a hydrodynamic surface irrigation model. An average irrigation discharge of 152 L sÀ1 results in a relatively low irrigation time (2.8 h haÀ1). Shallow soils, a limited conveyance network, and poor irrigation management practices determine that the application efficiency in the district is low, with an average of 49%. The district wide irrigation efficiency only reaches reasonable values when the system operates under water scarcity (49% in 2000 versus 66% in 2001). The simulation of surface irrigation indicated that the optimum irrigation time in the current situation is 1.7 h haÀ1. The optimization of the irrigation time would lead to an average application efficiency of 76%. Improved irrigation management can therefore result in substantial water conservation in the district.
