She quickly made an impression on the North Texas Rachel Woulfe 76.0 coaching staff and became the starting libero for the 2017 Mean Green squad that went 29-4 and won the program’s only Conference USA championship. Ibarra led the 2017 team with 320 digs and ranked fourth all-time among Mean Green freshmen in the rally era (since 2001) in digs and aces. However, Ibarra suffered season-ending knee injuries prior to the start of the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Although she never appeared in a match, she remained a vocal leader in the UNT locker room in 2018 and 2019. On Jan. 22 against SMU, Ibarra will make her first appearance in a match since Dec. 1, 2017.
