Located on the north coast of Sicily, Il Carrubo takes its name from the estate of carob trees that once surrounded the villa – today, one glorious specimen remains, providing shade, in time – honoured Sicilian fashion – in the eastern part of the garden.

FIND OUT MORE
The rest of the garden has been cleared – apart from the occasional ancient olive tree – to reveal fantastic sea views that stretch from the promontory of Capo Calavà to the Aeolian Islands. There is a lovely green lawn, an intense blue bean-shaped pool, with a relaxing sun-bathing area around it. The villa is long, making the most of the views over the lawn and pool and sea. The ground floor consists large living room with fireplace, two bedrooms, a comfortable kitchen and a further bedroom on the side of the house, with an independent entrance. Upstairs there is a fourth bedrooom with a little studio (space for two single sofa beds) and a private terrace. All rooms are doubles, with private bathrooms and direct access to the garden. A lovely furnished portico provides an outdoor living-dining room – with wood-burning oven and barbeque for al fresco cooking!
Useful Informations: two different groups of friends can also rent Il Piccolo Casale a short distance from Carrubo.
