Description Trinity Hall is an attached former guildhall dating from the fifteenth century and stands proudly back from the High Street enjoying a pleasant aspect over the village green and other charming medieval houses. The stunning interior has a host of period features including inglenook fireplaces and exposed timber frames with queen post construction. The guildsmen’s banqueting hall on the first floor is now used as the drawing room. There are exposed timbers throughout the house, but it has the great advantage of excellent ceiling heights in each room. There is a quantity of seventeenth and eighteenth century panelling, and the ground floors are all laid with terracotta tiles and pamments with electric underfloor heating.

The house belonged to the renowned British surrealist photographer, Angus McBean, and his partner from the 1970s until fairly recently. In the last few years the house has undergone complete redecoration, rewiring and the bathroom fixtures have all been replaced. The ground floor includes a vast bedroom with en-suite shower room and newly installed wood stove. It also has a sitting area and French doors opening to the courtyard. There is a kitchen with delightful breakfastroom, which has a large fireplace with oak carved mantel and wood burning stove. In addition on the ground floor is the formal dining hall with attractive Georgian bow windows and double front door. Leading off this is a study/garden room with views over the rear courtyard. On the first floor is the breath-taking drawing room with large open fireplace, elaborately carved mantelpiece, panelled walls and exposed timbers. From here, a door leads to a spacious double bedroom, as well as a bathroom with a dramatic copper bath. On the second floor is a further double bedroom, again with an en-suite bathroom.
