This spring, one of his Fri.-Sun., April 20-22 chief accomplishments has come to fruition with the opening of the new baseball team building at Husky Ballpark – a Arizona at Washington clubhouse, coaches’ offices, training room, equipment room and donor area overlooking the field. Meggs came to the three-game, Pac-12 series UW after having spent the previous three seasons at Indiana State and the 13 prior to that at Chico State, where he won NCAA Division II national championships in 1997 and 1999. He helped Chico to the D-II seven times and won the league eight times. At Indiana State, he was named Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2009 QUICK PITCHES . . . after guiding the Sycamores to a second-place finish, their highest since 1998. Currently, he boasts a 677-385-4 record over 18 seasons as a four-year college head coach.
