Description

EartH2o is one of the first U.S. bottled water companies to use 100% Oregon recycled plastic (rPET) to make our bottles, renu bottles produced by EartH2o are truly unique.  No virgin resin means that our bottle's life cycle is a closed-loop within our own state.  This means we reduce landfill waste, support our state economy and show how Recycling Plastic can work for everyone.

We have three different departments for our interns:

Bottle Division: stacking 5-gallon bottles

- Filled and sealed 5-gallon bottles of water (the type that goes in office water coolers) roll down a free-rolling (no power involved) roller tracker to the employee, who inspects for proper cap fit and date coding.  The employee then loads into steel racks.  It involves lifting and stacking 5-gallon bottles into racks, working in a wet area, the heaviest lift is 35lb - 45 lbs

Case Goods - Filled and sealed cases of bottled water roll down a free-rolling (no power involved) roller track to the employee, who inspects for case integrity of other defects,

Page 68/197 then stacks the cases on a pallet in a specified pattern.  It would be lifting and stacking case goods 20 lbs - 35 lbs and stacking on layers on a pallet

Plastics Division: inspection and stacking of plastic bottles - Interns in our Plastics Division will be responsible for the inspection and stacking of the bottles that fall into inspection chutes, where the worker picks them up to inspect for defects.  If bottles are good, they stack them in a designated pattern on the pallet one layer at a time, adding a new cardboard layer as each layer is complete.  Lifting less than 1 lb but repetitive working and using hands, wrists, and twisting.

We are willing to employ an intern in our manufacturing industry for part-time, full shift (7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.), and split shift part-time (7:00 a.m. - noon, 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.)

Description

You will experience the inner workings of production and distribution for a busy online store from finish manufacturing all the way to sending orders out to the customer.  SWAG Off Road makes and sells metal fabrication tools, Jeep products, and off-roading accessories. We’ve built up a reputation over the years for selling high-quality, overbuilt, 100% made-in-America products. Most of our products start as laser-cut parts that need to be finished and assembled in-house. Each part is sanded down as necessary to ensure it has a high-quality finish and many need holes drilled and tapped. Once these finishing touches have been completed, parts can be assembled together using a variety of methods. Each product is finished and assembled in a slightly different way, so you will be using a variety of tools and techniques to get a completed product. After assembling the product, they are moved from the production area to the warehouse where they are organized and stored, waiting to be shipped out.  Shipping is a big part of what we do at

SWAG since we are exclusively an online store. You will be working directly with our shipping manager who will show you the entire process from determining the appropriate shipping method, to packaging an order and sending it out the door. Most of our products are heavy, so packaging them is an art form.

Overall, you will be doing a little bit of everything. We’re a small team that really values efficiency and a willingness to step up to the challenge at hand. Looking
