Johannes Brahms 30 years after Midori’s legendary concert debut with the New Tragic Overture in D minor, Op. 81 York Philharmonic conducted by Zubin Mehta, Midori and Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 77 Mehta have come together again for a special concert with the Münchner Philharmoniker. The work – which Conductor Zubin Mehta uses melodies from Hindemith’s opera of the same name – Orchestra Münchner Philharmoniker was commissioned by Wilhelm Furtwängler and the Berliner Violin Midori Philharmoniker in 1934.
