Preparation for the 2021 competitions is well underway, and while 2021 will be different from previous years, we look forward to the new opportunities it brings, and we appreciate everyone's flexibility as we navigate these unprecedented times together. As plans for the 2021 Junior Livestock and Horse Show competitions are finalized, we are also excited to announce the scheduled dates and locations for our 2021 sales and auctions. While our Junior Livestock Show and Horse Show competitions will be held as private events in March, many of our auctions will be scheduled in May to accommodate the current health and safety guidelines. These auctions are currently planned for in person, but we also will have virtual and live steam capabilities. Auction buyers will be able to bid live at the in-person event, or online, and additional details will be announced once available. While we will not be able to include the livestock projects in each auction, we plan to invite our eligible junior exhibitors to participate in the live events.

Junior Livestock Show exhibitors who are eligible for the May auctions will be contacted in April. The 2021 sales and auctions will be a new experience for everyone, and we are so grateful to have such supportive participants working alongside our team.

These changes are based on the current health situation, and we are dedicated to keep you informed of our auction plans. The 2021 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo brings new opportunities and challenges, but together, we can face them with optimism. Let's get ready for an exciting year.

2021 Junior Show Updates: Electronic W-9 Submission: New for 2021, we have implemented the electronic submission of W-9 forms for all exhibitors. Please note that if an exhibitor had a previous W9 on file, they would not have received their unique email to upload their W-9 electronically. The W-9 collection process will be on-going and will not affect the eligibility of the exhibitor to show at the 2021 Show. The submission of W-9's will be critical for all exhibitors that win premiums; therefore, after the completion of the show, we will contact all exhibitors that are missing an electronic W-9. All exhibitors without a W-9 on file will have their premium check held until one has been successfully submitted.

Show Grounds Admission: Due to limited capacity of facilities located at NRG Park, the following wristbands will be distributed per exhibitor per show: • Exhibitor: 2 wristbands; exhibitor plus one adult • Ag Mechanics: 4 wristbands; 3 contestants and one adult per project entry • Teachers & Agents: 1 wristband for teacher or agent, must have a valid entry in the show you are attending. • Note: grounds/exhibitor passes from the 2020 show will not be accepted for entry.
