Dear Friends, The Thirtieth Sunday Interspersed throughout the Church year are Sundays that remind us that the most important thing is love- love of God, love of neighbor. Today, the Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary

Time, is one of those Sundays. In today’s Gospel from Matthew Jesus is challenged about the Ordinary In Time greatest commandment. The first reading from Exodus prepared us to hear Jesus’ answer. Jesus’ simple reply (the greatest law is the law of love), noted in this Old Testament mandate, is a challenge to all of us. Love of God and love of neighbor have not changed in two thousand years. This week let us strive to love everyone we meet along our way, even those we suspect might be a challenge for us! As I noted last week, we had a wonderful Oktoberfest, truly a time of fun, food and especially fellowship. It was so wonderful to see so many of our parishioners just sitting around and enjoying the sights and sounds around them. It was an excellent opportunity to reconnect and to spend time with fellow members of this great parish. In addition to all of the great fun, we were able to profit just under $12,000 to assist in the operational expenses of the parish as well as some jubilee events yet to be held. Thank you, one and all, for making this Oktoberfest such a wonderful success in so many ways! Last weekend we began the sale of Christmas ornaments, Christmas cards, and the remaining Jubilee cookbooks. They will be on sale after Masses in the narthex from time to time but they are also available in the parish office throughout the week. The special Jubilee Christmas ornament is really

beautiful and makes for a special gift, especially for those who may have moved away from the area. There is only a limited number in our inventory so please don’t be disappointed when these items are no longer available. This weekend is the last weekend to register in the narthex for the Parish Photo Directory which will include our Parish Jubilee history. After this weekend, you will still be able to register on line for your reservation for your picture. Please visit our website and click on Lifetouch. Please do not be left out of this opportunity to be a part of the 50 year history of Robert Bellarmine Parish. This Wednesday, November 1st is the Solemnity of ALL SAINTS, a Holyday of Obligation. Masses will be celebrated on Wednesday at 7AM, 9AM, 12 Noon, and 7PM. On Thursday, November 2nd, we will commemorate the Feast of ALL SOULS. Masses will be celebrated at 7AM, 9AM, and 7PM. At the evening Mass we will remember in a special way all of those who were buried from our parish since last November. You also received an All Souls envelope in the last packet of envelopes you received. Please record the names of your family members and friends you wish us to pray for during the month of November. These names will be placed before the Holy Family shrine throughout the month of November and remembered in prayer each day. Also, as a component of our Jubilee Year, there will be a memorial book on display in the narthex which lists the names of all the parishioners, since the foundation of the parish, whose Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in the parish. These past members of our parish will also be remembered in prayer throughout the month as well. Next weekend we revert back to Eastern Standard Time which means we gain an hour of sleep next Saturday night by turning our clocks BACK one hour. Please remember to change your clocks and be on time for Mass next weekend! With the extra hour of sleep, we should be able to raise the roof in prayer and song next Sunday! May Saint Robert Bellarmine inspire us to live for the greater glory of God! With prayers,

St. 's is sponsoring the Bucks County Regional KAIROS Retreat, which is the weekend of Nov. 10-12, 2017. The retreat is being held at Gretna Glen Center in Lebanon, PA. This retreat is quickly approaching, all students who are Juniors and Seniors in a Public High School are invited! Contact [email protected] for a permission form and a sheet with details for the weekend.

In case you are not familiar, Kairos can simply be translated to mean “God’s Time.” This is a 3-day retreat which is based upon the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola. During the retreat participants open themselves up to God’s love as well as the love of their family and friends. The retreat creates an environment of acceptance and love in which participants can know about and accept Christ more deeply in their lives. Ideally by the end retreatants find that they have grown in relationship with God, self and others. This retreat is based off of the same model that is used by many of the Archdiocesan High Schools. It is a different experience than Steubenville! Highy recommended by those who have attended.

Hail. Mother of the Lord, Mary, Queen of the Rosary of Fatima! Blessed among all women, you are the image of the church dressed in the Paschal light, you are the honor of our people, you are the triumph over the mark of evil.

Prophecy of the merciful love of the Father, Teacher of the Annunciation of the Good News of the Son, Sign of the burning Fire of the Holy Spirit, teach us, in this valley of joys and sorrows, the eternal truths that the Father reveals to the little ones.

Show us the strength of your mantle of protection. In your Immaculate Heart, be the refuge of sinners and the way that leads to God.

In unity with my brethren, In Faith, Hope and Love, I surrender myself to you. In unity with my brethren, through you, I consecrate myself to God, O Virgin of the Rosary of Fatima.

And thus surrounded by the Light that comes from your hands, I will give Glory to the Lord for ever and ever.

Amen.
