Major League Baseball® Jr. Home Run Derby™ (Jr.HRD™) provides players across the country an opportunity to participate in an exciting home run hitting contest. Jr.HRD™ is a FREE national program for boys and girls 14 years of age and under. The program includes three levels of competition, with top performers from the Local level advancing to Regional level and ultimately, the National Finals prior to the Major League Baseball® Home Run Derby® during MLB® All-Star Week.™

TIMELINE/LEVELS OF COMPETITION

• Local Administrative kits distributed to Local hosts as early as January with events being hosted through early May. • Regional Local Competition Champions in each age group (14U and 12U) advance to Regional Competitions in May-June. • National Finals: Regional Competition Champions in each age group (14U and 12U) advance to the National Finals as part of MLB® All-Star Week™ in July.

STEPS TO HOSTING A Jr.HRD LOCAL COMPETITION

• Register to Host: Visit www.JrHRD.com and register your free event. • Receive Support Receive a free administrative kit, which will include an Materials: administrative handbook, Jr.HRD™ banner, registration forms, posters, participation certificates, awards, etc. • Event Day: Host your Jr.HRD™ contest and award the winners in each age group. • Report Results: Submit results online and mail in the registration forms (pre-paid postage provided).
