Interested parties can register immediately for the free online event (video livestream) at www.reg.evoletics.de/adkmedien/volga-dnepr.

In addition to humanitarian and ethical aspects, it is in the interests of both Germany and the European Union to immunise large parts of the world population against the Covid-19 virus as quickly as possible. This is the only way to make holidays and business trips straightforward again and enable supply chains to function smoothly; and Germany can demonstrate that it is aware of its global responsibility. The German government announced during the G7 summit in Cornwall that it was making available EUR 2.2 billion for global vaccinations and would deliver 30 million doses of vaccinations to poorer countries by the end of the year. During the panel discussions, renowned experts from the medical, logistics and political fields will jointly discuss the best way to establish efficient vaccination logistics from to the countries in the southern hemisphere, the difficulties that are expected to arise and how it is possible to ensure fair distribution. The audience will also have the opportunity to actively become involved in the discussions via a chat function. The event will also be recorded and will be available for people to watch on the social media channels of the partners involved at a later date. Following an initial conference in 2019, these panel discussions are the second joint event held by Leipzig/Halle Airport and the Volga Dnepr Group on topics related to humanitarian aid. Another major event is planned for September 2021.
