22 he exquisite art of quilter Pat Durbin originates Tfrom her home on the picturesque north coast of California. She’s a “happy art quilter” who, besides being a pastor's wife and a mother, is a grandmother of many. Lots of opportunities have come her way via the quilting community, allowing her to share her art in countless ways. Besides teaching art quilting, Pat has also written several books— another avenue for sharing the art quilt techniques for which she has become famous.

23 In our recent interview, Pat provided some machine. That was a big moment…dare I say, insights into fun with her grandchildren: life changing. I don’t know about you as a quilter, but in my experience, First, I made many traditional quilts, then entered and the whole family gets involved. A few years ago I had visited an AQS Show in 2004. I was amazed at the quilts young granddaughters visiting regularly. They got the bug that were on display, and my eyes were opened to the and we had great times piecing quilts.
