2019 Reserve Viognier Livermore Valley | Retail: $30 | Classic & White This explosively aromatic white has delicious notes of tropical fruit and mixed citrus blossom. Flavors of Asian apple pear, pineapple, and lemon zest greet the palate are complimented by mild acidity and a floral finish that lingers.

2018 Reserve Livermore Valley | Retail: $30 | Classic & White Wines This Chardonnay offers up rich butter cream and citrus aromas. Light-bodied on the palate, bright flavors of green apple and pineapple are complimented by hints of caramel and soft with a clean, nicely balanced finish.

2017 Reserve Stampmaker’s GSM Livermore Valley | Retail: $32 | Red Wines This delightful Rhône style blend has notes of black cherry and blackberry mingled with cedar and chocolate. Delicate flavors of plum and cherry flow onto the palate with a touch of anise, finishing smooth with nice tannins and oak.

2017 Reserve Livermore Valley | Retail: $36 | Red Wines This Zinfandel has a strong nose with notes of blackberry, chocolate, and clove. The flavors open on the palate, revealing a big, juicy wine with jammy notes and a prevalent plum flavor, as well as hints of chocolate covered cherries.

2017 Reserve Livermore Valley | Retail: $40 | Classic & Red Wines With bright aromas of blueberry and boysenberry and hints of vanilla and spice, this Cabernet Sauvignon is lush on the palate and full-bodied. It has firm tannins with flavors of cherry, raspberry and nutmeg and a long, lingering finish.

2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, Mother Vine Livermore Valley | Retail: $45 | Classic & Red Wines Inviting aromas of red fruit, cassis, plum, and dark cherry greet the nose, followed by light toast notes. Juicy red berry and mocha flavors prevail on the palate with a full-bodied structure, balanced by smooth tannins and a lengthy finish.

2017 Reserve Petit Verdot Livermore Valley | Retail: $40 | Classic & Red Wines This Petit Verdot entices with smoky notes complimented by juicy cherry, blackberry, and plum. On the palate, the aromas carry through with the addition of blueberry and floral hints. The tannins are rich and silky making for an age worthy wine.

2017 Reserve Petite Sirah, Nina’s Cuvée Livermore Valley | Retail: $38 | Classic & Red Wines Aromas reminiscent of blueberry pie are mingled with notes of dark cherry, raisin, and blackberry. Spring 2020 A Message from our Wine Club Manager Each release, I like to highlight one of our newest and share a little more so you can fully appreciate Concannon’s offerings. In this release, I’m calling out one of our most sought after wines, Concannon’s Mother Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, produced using the from our treasured, historical Mother Vine Vineyard, where the Concannon Cabernet Cones 7, 8 & 11 were first propagated. The 2017 Mother Vine Cabernet Sauvignon was also honored with a Gold Medal at the 2020 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition and although our 2017 is very limited, we wanted to include it in both our Classic and Red release packs.

This vintage of the Mother Vine Cabernet Sauvignon is made up of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Petit Verdot, and 7% and showcases dark cherry, plum and cassis on the nose. On the palate you’ll find juicy red berry with chocolate, coffee notes, and some savory spice. This wine has good structure and fine tannins on the finish with a dash of mocha. I think this is a great wine for red meat or robust mushrooms. It would pair wonderfully with baby portabella mushrooms with penne pasta and sundried tomatoes in a sauce or a grilled steak smothered with braised mushrooms with a bit of garlic!
