On Tuesday, June 28, several parishioners from Poor Clares in Kokomo both parishes in Kokomo went to Nashville, Monastery of the Poor Clares to witness the first profession of 1175 N. 300 W. Sr. Rose Dominic. The following day Bishop Kokomo, IN 46901 Doherty, along with priests of the diocese, officiated at the Funeral Mass of Sr. Bernadette Yarc. Sister was 101 years old and was the last of the seven founding Sisters of the Poor Clare Monastery in Kokomo. Many parishioners joined in giving thanks for her life of prayer and service. Sts. Joan of Arc & Patrick School will host its second annual Saints on the Run 5K Run/Walk Saturday, October 10. The Run/Walk and Fun Run are open to everyone. The 5K course begins and ends on the beautiful St. Joan of Arc Campus. Indoor registration begins at 7:45 am. The Fun Run will start at 8:40 am and the 5K begins at 9 am There will be numerous prizes awarded indoors for both the walk and the run.
