WAIPARA SCHOOL CAR BOOT SALE (being held in the Waipara School grounds)

This event is being organised by Jason and Adie Moore, in kind for our school. They have worked hard to secure about 30 stalls / sites coming for the event! Each stallholder is paying for the privilege of this. A site has been booked for the children of our school to sell anything that they may like so please contact me if your child would like to be involved in this. A clean out of toy boxes could be in order! Parents may need to assist children in this selling venture J The day starts at 9am with stalls being set up and ends at 2.30pm. Waipara School is selling kindly donated by Hellers sausages and Tarata children, their

parents and Miss Martin are in charge of this.

Mrs Duncan is selling the Mystery Bottles on behalf of our school and more bottles are needed, so if you could donate anything in a bottle, that would be helpful. please. A lot of work has gone into organising this venture behind the scenes, so your support of it would be appreciated.

Seesaw is a platform for student engagement that inspires students of all ages to do their best, and share their learning with families! Students use creative tools to take pictures, draw, record videos and more to capture learning in a portfolio. We would encourage all parents to sign up to Seesaw as we can use it as a learning platform, if we happened to go into an increasing COVID Alert Level. Please contact your child’s teacher should you require further information or the link to join. We would like that all families join so that it

COMBINED DAY WITH GRETA VALLEY, WAIKARI AND WAIPARA SCHOOLS This will be held on Wednesday 9 September at Greta Valley School. The children from all three schools will be divided into five class groupings – Year 7 and 8; Year 5 and 6; Year 3 and 4, Year 2 and Year 1. Teaching each class level will be a combination of teachers and Teacher Aides from across the three schools – cooperative teaching at its best! The teachers will plan the day together and then work together to deliver this. The main objective is for the children to interact with other, meet new children and have a new teacher to respond to. The idea is for the children to have fun together whilst making new friends. Everyone has thoroughly enjoyed the meetings we have had in the past. Our children need to be prepared with full and correct school uniform, their polar fleece and a lunch that does not need to be heated. A water bottle could be helpful as well. We are looking forward to the day together. We will travel to Greta Valley School on the Amberley Community buses.
