Bocconi started its internationalization process several years ago when globalization began to pose new challenges and organizations were required to be competitive in a global environment.

The University has answered this call by establishing stronger international bonds with foreign stakeholders and by developing new opportunities for its students, granting them the necessary skills to be successful in a global market. This is the reason Bocconi has focused on recruiting academics from top institutions worldwide, allowing students to get in touch with professors of different nationalities.

International study abroad programs and work abroad opportunities have multiplied over the years, providing students with a growing international exposure and turning them into Bocconi ambassadors abroad.

Incoming foreign students have increased in number as well, attracted by Bocconi’s multicultural community and international academic programs.

Today, Bocconi is recognized as a global player that firmly believes in internationalization as an added value to the academic background of its students and the University is committed to consolidating its high international standards.

With this in mind, it is my great pleasure to present an overview of international study and work abroad programs organized by the University.

Università Bocconi, founded in 1902, was the first Italian university to grant a degree in economics. Today it is one of Europe’s leading educational institutions in Economics, Management, Finance and Law, and offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and post- graduate programs, including many taught in English. Università Bocconi aims at providing selected students – from Italy, Europe and the rest of the world – with a truly international education that leads to professional growth and superior access to the job market. Bocconi’s well-organized internship and exchange opportunities give students a chance to get hands-on experience in the country of their choice, as part of their studies.
