TRIO Advisor Maureen Moriarty and Rae Jean 1 Veronica Miller Abby Hill Samantha Wiechman Hannah Kapp Morgan Grade Alaina Berger This month’s TRIO Wall of Fame students are Mercedes Trujillo- Hanson, Morgan Grade, Hannah Kapp, Alaina Berger, Mollie Anderson, Luis Alvarado, Samantha Wiechman, Abby Hill, Veronica Miller, Kindra Kuper, and Ryan Hall. These recipients have been chosen for various reasons from the TRIO advisors. They were treated to breakfast and celebrated being part of the Wall of Fame. Congratulations to our recipients!

On March 15th, the University of Mary had their annual Spring Band Concert. This concert celebrated the 400-year-old tradition of St. Patrick’s Day. The featured piece was Riverdance by Bill Whelan. TRIO students who participated in the concert in some way are Clau- dia Diener, Nicole Emmett, April Mogard, Nicholas Mortenson, and Megan Ohlhauser.

On Wed., March 13th, many TRIO students attended a financial literacy opportunity. The stu- dents had a guest speaker, Professor Todd Van Orman. They learned tips about finances and banking that they can start to implement now and in the future. 2 On March 8th, TRIO Student Kasidy Chileen went 1-4 with a scored and 2 RBI’s. In another game TRIO student William William Kranz that weekend, she went 1-3 and had a steal. Kranz scored a run in Sioux Falls, SD on TRIO Student Kylie Alto also had a great week- March 24th. On March 20th, he had a steal, end with 2 RBI’s and a scored run. In another game a , and two runs that were scored by that weekend, she went 2-4 with a homerun, a RBI a RBI (). and a run scored.

The University of Mary had many students receive Northern Sun Winter All-Academic Team honors. There were four TRIO students that were awarded: Jaylan White (Basketball), Devan Rohrich (Track & Field), Maria Bolibruch (Track and Field), and Michal Sequeira (Track and Field). Students needed a GPA of 3.2 or higher, be a member of the varsity team, have sophomore athletic and academic standing, and have completed one full academic year at the University.

Over the month of December, TRIO students participated in bell ringing for the Salvation Army. Earlier this month, the Salvation Army gave TRIO a Certificate of Appreciation for volunteering with them! TRIO helped the Salvation Army raise $258.45! Devan Rohrich Michal Sequeira 3

Remember that the Tutoring Center and Writing Center are available! Feel free to reach out to advisors if you are in need of additional help before finals are here! Final day to use the Tutoring Center is Thursday, April 18th.
