COMMUNITY COLLEGE TRANSFER OPPORTUNITY

CCTOP PROGRAM HELPING DESERVING STUDENTS GO FARTHER

The Community College Transfer Opportunity Program (CCTOP) is a scholarship and assistance program that was created to help community college students like you make the transition from a participating consortium college to several divisions within NYU (see below).

PARTICIPATING NYU DIVISIONS The following NYU divisions currently accept CCTOP students:

• College of Arts and Science (humanities programs only) • Rory Meyers College of Nursing • School of Professional Studies—Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (SPS—DAUS) • Silver School of Social Work • Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development • Tisch School of the Arts (Interactive Media Arts only) BENEFITS OF CCTOP

The goal of CCTOP is not only to help you transition into NYU, but also to help you become a successful graduate of NYU while giving you a transformational educational experience along the way. From day one as an NYU student, you’ll connect with other CCTOP students at the New Student Orientation, where you’ll learn more about the campus and how to prepare yourself for the upcoming semester. Once the semester begins, your academic adviser can help you plan your schedule and keep you updated on the many opportunities for engagement—such as research projects, community-service initiatives, and faculty-led class trips—that are available to you. Transitional seminars, hosted by departments such as the Office of Student Success and the Wasserman Center for Career Development, further support a seamless transition into the University. Once enrolled at NYU, you should expect to take at least 64 additional credits to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Note: For students seeking acceptance into a humanities program at the College of Arts and Science, the Gardiner Foundation, which aims to promote the research of City and Long Island history, culture, and institutions, offers funding to scholars willing to devote a portion of their studies to these subjects. WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR CCTOP?

Any student who is currently enrolled in or is an alumnus of one of NYU’s partnership schools is eligible to apply to the program. However, meeting eligibility requirements does not guarantee applicants a CCTOP scholarship award. In addition, all applicants must:
