Care is provided from 3:00 to 5:30 on school days and continues full days during the summer months in conjunction with Community Education’s Morning Rec program. Snowmobile Safety -- Online Plus Outdoor Course Any resident born after December 31, 1976 is required to take a snowmobile safety training course to operate a snowmobile anywhere in Minnesota, including private lands. A course is available for youth ages 11 and older. The first step is to go towww.snowmobilecourse.com/usa/minnesota to complete the online course. Becky Rahm (Math and Science), and Julie Fettes (English and Reading) teach an ACT Prep class open to all juniors and seniors. Instruction will include an overview of the ACT test, test-taking strategies, review of each of the 4 content areas, and a full- length test simulation, followed by review and discussion of the test. Following the test, each student will set up an individual appointment with a teacher for their sixth session. Looking at test results, they will be able to ask questions and be given advice on how to improve their score for the actual ACT test. The ACT test will be offered at school to the Luverne High School juniors on March 30. National ACT test date is April 17. Students from neighboring districts are welcome to take this prep class. LHS 2184 Campaign The Luverne Public Schools (ISD 2184) will soon complete an exciting, historic $31 million renovation and expansion program! A new LHS 2184 Campaign will provide funds over and above taxpayer dollars to ensure this once-in-a-lifetime project is a source of pride for the community.
