On Wednesday the 31st of July, the Bank of Cook Islands (BCI) made a generous donation of $1911.55 to the Are Pa Metua in order to give financial assistance to the elderly. The money generated was from profits of sales for old number plates, which they (Are Pa Metua) were nominated to be the recipients of the funds. Members of the Board, Mousie Skews and Teresa Noovao as well as Chairperson of the Are Pa Metua Trust, Nga Teau Papatua and representative of BCI Rod Fox and colleagues were present to witness this event.
