My dear students, congratulations and a warm welcome, it gives me immense pleasure to present the Prospectus of R. B. Attal Arts, Science & commerce colelge, Georai, Dist. Beed which was established in 1971. The college at third cycle of accreditation in the comparison of second cycle scored 70% from 54.50% and with good achievement acquired 'B' grade with 2.78 CGPA. The college is also ISO 9001:2015 certified. The college has been committed to the cause of sculpting the young generation, the future and the real architect of the nation. It has started an amalgamation of the conventional and unconventional courses to meet the needs of the region as well as to make available a source for academic development and excellence. The college realizes the importance of need-based regional, national and global level studies. Accordingly, the college has devised its programmes covering basic, applied and professional aspects with emphasis on knowledge, social development and employability. Considering the needs of the recent times and student's demand for advanced and professional course, the college has introduced a variety of courses, such as, Management Science, Computer Science. Glimpses of the College History & Culture

R. B. Attal Arts, Science & Commerce College was established in the year 1971 in the of Marathwada region. The district is well known as district of sugarcane cultures and located in drought prone region. Georai is on of the economically and socially backward and rural taluka situated in Godavari basin. The college is affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University Aurangabad. Making it a multifaculty educational unit, the college spread over 27 acres upland, and as well furnished decorative buildings independent Library building, Hostel and newly constructed Indoor Stadium and 400 meters Running Track. At the same time the college has made progress qualitatively by providing a large number of eminent successful alumni in every walks of life. The total campus of the college is under CCTV surveillance. After the foundation of the college became leading educational centre in Geoari taluka and renowned college in the Marathwada Region for performing vital role in Educational, Social, and Cultural Development. In the course of last 48 years the college has imparting education in 04 UG programmes (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. and B.C.A.), 02 PG programmes (M.Sc. Chemistry and M.Com), 03 Certificate courses and Research facility in Marathi, Hindi, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, History, Commerce and Physical Education. For all these programmes 1863 students have been admitted with the recruitment of 28 regular teachers, 34 part time teachers and some visiting faculties.

Library Well-equipped with large number of text books, reference books, highest number of National & International Journals & periodicals, e-book, e-journals & CDs, photocopying facility, Internet Facility, independent reading hall for girl students. The gross books are round about 50 thousand and various books, journals, newspapers are made available in the Reading Hall.

Well-equipped Laboratories Our Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Computer Science and Geography laboratories are well-equipped and students are allowed to do experiments in the various subjects. The equipments in the laboratories are latest and modern, students and teachers are always engaged in the research activities.

National Social Service (NSS) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University has sanctioned two hundred fifty N.S.S. volunteers to the college. Our Junior College also has a unit of N.S.S. The

students who are interested in social service may participate in N.S.S. The N.S.S. department arranges several social activities in the whole academic year. The activities especially like Cleanliness, Literacy Mission, Rural Development, Tree Plantation, Disaster Management. The students get benefit to develop their leadership, feeling of National integrity and social awareness due to these programmes. Interested students may contact to the N.S.S. programme officer for participation.

National Cadet Corps (N.C.C.) The college has a N.C.C. unit under control of 51 Maharashtra Battalion, Aurganabad. The ultimate aim of N.C.C. is to inspire the great patriotism in youth. The unit offers a precious opportunity of pre-military training to the cadets. The students can develop their personality, leadership with the help of N.C.C. The N.C.C. unit arranges B.L.C. training camp, A.T.C. Parasailing, R.D. and N.I.C. training camps in the academic year. N.C.C. unit also arranges the camps like blood donation and tree plantation. The great benefit to the N.C.C. cadet is that he gets preference in direct military recruitment. The interested students may contact to the N.C.C. officer for participation.

Sports Facilities :- Shiv Chatrapati Krida Sankul College has forged reputed state and national level players. Sports department offers all facilities for indoor and outdoor games. In the college valuable guidance is given for various games and Sports such as Volleyball, Kabaddi, Cricket, Basketball, Athletics, Yogas, Football, Wrestling and Weight Lifting. The students of the college participate in various games at university and state level and win medals. The successful students in the sports are feliciated on the occasion of Annual Gathering function in the college.

Indoor facilities In the indoor hall 1 Office, 1 Store room, 1 Badminto hall with 2 badminton courts (approx size 98x66=6468 sq.ft.) Gymnasium (Approx size 41x32=1312 sqft), Jodo hall (Approx size 41x32=1312 sqft), Changing room (approx size 20x9=180 sqft), Rest rooms (approx size 20x9=180 sqft), Wash rooms (Approx Size 30x14=420 sqft).

Gymnasium The college has a modern gymnasium. The instruments are latest and highly improved. The trainer is available to guide the students. Interested students may contact with the Head department of Sport.

Career Guidance and Competitive Exams The students in the college do not get only traditional education but they have also an opportunity available for the success in competitive examinations. The experts and successful students guide to the students in the college. Various books, Journals are made available for the preparation of competitive exams.

Conferences and Seminars The college organizes Seminars and National, State and Regional levels. Many seminars are arranged even on college level. The prime aim behind this is the interaction of thoughts among students and the teachers.

Annual Magazine :- Abhivyakti The college always does efforts to encourage the instinct qualities in the students. Annual Magazine is published in every year. The ultimate aim behind the magazine is to inspire the students to express their thoughts in Marathi, Hindi and English. The college is quite successful in this effort.

Night Study Facility The college has made night study facility available to the students. The students can study in library at night. The timing for the study is form 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The teachers regularly visit and guide the students. An inverter is also made available, if the electricity supply is failed.

Teaching and Learning In the modern era the teaching and learning method must make its students liable for the global competition. Hence the college has adopted traditional as well as modern methods for teaching and learning process. The students must understand and assess the subject at his own. Parents - Teachers Association The real guardians of the students are teachers, the college agrees this view. But the parents must get the progress of their students in the college. So the Parents and Teachers Association has been established. The association arranges meetings and the parents make their valuable suggestions in it. The main aims of parents, teachers association are as following: 1) Make students interested in the study. 2) Do efforts for students regularity in the college. 3) Try to know the difficulties of students and parents.

Alumni Association The college is always in touch with the ex-students. The college has established an "R. B. Attal Mahavidyalaya Maji Vidyarthi Sanstha",. The college arranges ex-studnets meeting with the help of Alumni Association. The ex-students play an important role in the development of college.

ICC Internal Complaint Committee / Vishakha Committee / Anti Women Sexual Harassment and Grievances Redressal Cell. The college has founded women's cell to recognize the problems of girl students. The women's cell guides on the issues to the girl students. This effort underlines the need of women empowerment in our society.

Hostel Facility for Girls : There are 25 rooms available for girl students. The hostel has 75 students capacity. In the academic year 2021-22 the meritorious girl students will be given concession in hostel fees even needy students are also given concession in hostel fees. The girls hostel have one room for Rector, one room for Store, one room for Health center the facilities like Solar system for Hot water and RO drinking water, reading room etc are available in the hostel.

Interest and Wi-Fi facility All computers in the campus are connected to the internet and there are 3 routers for Wi-Fi facility. Thus these students do not have to go to cyber cafes outside. The Library provides Internet facility to the students and teachers. The Wi-Fi facility is also available (on request).

Botanical Garden There is a Botanical Garden having the area of 0.75 acres. The Botanical garden is well planned with green house to cater plants. The number of small-big trees medicinal plants, ornamental plants, flowers are there. In this garden, Vermi-culture, Organic compost projects and Green house are ongoing.

History Museum of Georai Tahashil, Beed District, Marathwada region are displayed in the museum.

There is a facility of Conference Room and Goadavari Auditorium with equipped with all necessary facilities for audio and visual presentations including sound system, a wireless conference network with microphones also with podium screen and fully functional projector and having seating capacity of 270 persons. the auditorium is used to organize State, National and International seminars and academic programmes.

There is water harvesting system developed in the college and it is also marked on the display board in front of the college building.

Admission Procedure

Admission 1. All admission are computerized, students have to remember and to use Permanent Registration Number (PRN). 2. Student should have sufficient number of true copies of the original documents before they submit original documents to college. 3. Necessary documents like eligibility certificate, migration certificate, E.B.C., Scholarship and free ship forms must be submitted within the time. 4. All admissions are provisional and on verification. Principal reserves the rights of final admission and can cancel any admission at any time. 5. Students must preserve all college receipts without which any fee will not be refunded. 6. Soon after admission, Identity Card should be obtained. If a student fails to obtain Identity Card within the time given, he/she will be charged Rs. 100/- and for the duplicate Identity Card will be charged Rs. 100/-

Attendance 1. As per new evaluation pattern implemented by University 75% of attendance for theory classes and practical is compulsory. 2. Continuous absence for classes will be liable for action. 3. Attendance for college tests, tutorials and terminal examinations is compulsory else marks will be not given. 4. Performance of Students throughout the year will be monitored and reported to the parents. 5. Use of unfair means in the college and University examinations is strictly prohibited.

They must not invite any friends or relatives to the college campus during the working hours of the college.

Punitive action as per Statue Section 87 (8) and Ordinance 129 : 1) Imposition of fine up to Rs. 300/- or more. 2) Preventing from attending the classes for specified period. 3) Disqualifying from participating in any co-curricular or culture activities of the college. 4) With holding of any college document. 5) Denial of admission to a course to College / University or Board. 6) Cancellation of admission to the college at any stage. 7) With holding of examination results.

Fees structure and Cancellation Rules : 1) Students from granted classes cancelling admission on or before 31st of July, shall be refunded only tuition, library, lab. fees paid by the students. 2) Student from Non-Granted classes, cancelling admission before 31st of July - 20% amount of the full fees prescribed with the deducted and the balance amount will be refunded. 3) Student from Non-Granted classes cancelling admission after 31st of July before the end of first term 50% amount of prescribed tuition, term library & laboratory fees will be deducted. 4) Student from Granted classes cancelling admission after 31st July 50% of amount of prescribed tuition. Library &Laboratory term plus other charges will be deducted & balance amount will be refunded. If the admission is cancelled in second term no fees will be refunded.

Guidelines for parents : 1) In special test program, the answer papers are meticulously assessed by the expert experienced teachers and given to students as per schedule. Minimum fees will be charged for this test program. Parents are expected to observe their wards answer papers personally and give their feedback towards college. 2) Parents should enquire about regularity of their ward & visit to college at least twice in a month. 3) Parents are expected to make themselves available for parents meeting. 4) For all-round development of the student, parents should promote them of participate in co-curricular activities of the college.

What is Ragging : The Act because of which any student in the college mentally or physically harassed or any act of teasing, taunting, abusing, misbehaving with students may be regarded as ragging.

Rules Against Ragging : According to Maharashtra State anti-ragging act 1999 ragging is strictly prohibited in the college. The severe punishment is advised against the student involved in ragging.

Punishment of Ragging : The student who is involved in ragging directly or indirectly will be punished as per anti-ragging law and as per Hon. Supreme Court judgement 656. 1998, as following: 1) Exilement from the college for two years and ban for 5 years from admission in any college. 2) Rigorous imprisonment for two years and Rs. 1000/- as penalty. The student who is victim of ragging, he or his parents may complain to the Head of the institution. If the complaint found true at first enquiry, the accused student will be suspended from the college. The complaint will be forwarded to the in charge of Police Station for further action. The decision of the Head of Institution will be final in the regard.

Rules for Library : 1) For all library transaction, the identity card is compulsory. 2) Obtaining identity card after admission is must. 3) Students who fail to obtain Library Card within the time given will be charged late fees of Rs. 50/- in the first term and Rs. 100/- in the second term. 4) Students must collect library card by producing Identity Card. The library ticket duly filled pasting one photograph is to be submitted at the issue counter for borrowing books for home reading. 5) If library reader's ticket is lost, student have to inform the librarian in writing towards replacement cost. Students will have to pay Rs. 50/- for the library reader's ticket. 6) For home reading & self study books are issued for seven days against library reader's ticket. 7) Students who fail to return books before the due date will have to pay late fees of Rs. 1 per day, per book. 8) While borrowing, students must check the books thoroughly in respect of damage, missing pages etc. 9) Students returning books with missing pages or in damaged from will have to replace the books or pay its price as per rules. 10) Students should submit an application from for availing book bank facility.

Rules for Reading Room : 1) No admission without I-Card. 2) Night facility in the library is available. The timing is 6.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. 3) The Journals and Reference books are available at the time of night study facility. 4) Any damage in the book is punishable.

Scholarship and Fees Concessions : Government of India Concessions The students should complete following terms for scholarships and fees- concessions. 1) The student may not avail more than one concession. The maximum benefit concession will be made available for the students. 2) Caste Certificate and other documents are necessary for the scholarships. 3) Regular attendance in the college is mandatory. 4) No scholarship will be given if examination form is not submitted. 5) The examination fees will be paid by the college. 6) The student must pass in each examination conducted by the college. 7) The improvement in the study and attendance must be satisfactory. 8) The students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/NT/VJA/SBC categories may get this scholarship. 9) Students should fill all the forms online and submit hard copy to the office. 10) If there is any Gap in the continuation of education, the Gap Certificate is necessary. 11) The saving account in State Bank of India is necessary for scholarship holders. 12) The students should co-operate to the students welfare association.

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna for economically weaker section The following state Government economic concessions are available for the students. 1) R.C.S.M.S.S.Y. students must produce income certificate from Tahsildar and the income limit is less than Rs. 1,00,000/- 2) The wards of Ex-army servicemen will get concession in fees. 3) The concession for the ward of freedom fighters. 4) Government fee merit scholarship. 5) The students from SC/ST categories who score more than 75% of marks will get "Rajashri Shahu Maharaj" Scholarship of Rs. 3,000/- per year. This scholarship is additional than G.O.I. 6) The physically challenged students also get scholarship but the disability must be more than 40 percentage and it should be noted on the certificate given by concerned Authority.

Distance Education Yashvantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nashik Many students do not get an opportunity to complete their college education. For those students Maharashtra Government has made a facility available as distance education i.e. Yashvantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University at Nashik. Our college has a center of this university in our college campus.

Even the students who have not passed S.S.C. or H.S.C. examinations can obtain the degrees of B.A. and B.Com. It is compulsory for those students to pass the preparatory examination. The open university centre also has the unit of N.S.S.
