The Trust now consists of, Steve Corkill (Chairperson) Adrienne Hickey (Secretary), Bob Clark (Treasurer), Lynda Corkill, Paul Bourke, Monica Willson and Kylie Brophy with Jemma Stevenson providing professional support and guidance.

The Chairman noted that after five years of operation the Trust has completed several of its projects including.

1. The emergency generator is installed and operational, with just a roof needed to fully protect it. 2. The optometrist service, Browning and Mathews, is in place and we are negotiating with the DHB and PHO to procure a contract to include Diabetic Retinal screening to add to this service. 3. Our specialist equipment now includes a DL4 Dermalite which is used to inspect skin lesions and the Trust was able to secure funding to run skin clinics for the community –targeted to the most Dreaming of holidays to special places at risk groups, however the hope is to expand this in the future. The Ultrasound scanner machine now has a specialised trolley to keep it safe, the scanner enables a wide range of services to be in the world delivered here in Opunake rather than a one-hour journey to the nearest service. Some of the things the Ultrasound has been used for so far include, administering injections or blood removal from difficult vein patients, checking for abdominal pain, and checking baby heartbeats for worried parents. We also have a I Stat - blood analyser for fast on-site analysis especially useful for heart issues and blood condition patients. We also purchased a range of equipment to assist the Physiotherapist in a wider range of recovery exercises. All these machines are unique to our Medical Centre and aid in making us one of the best equipped centres in Taranaki. 4. We also supported Taranaki Hearing to provide the Dangerous Decibels program to two primary schools in Opunake, remodelled the reception area to accommodate the Dental Reception and The Bitterroots is set in ranch.
