Masterworks give us the new Herringbone appointed MF OM and we add Shadowburst and Black -string options to Artist Series.

We have developed a new process in our wood preparation that not only makes our wood more stable but also helps our guitars resonate better, respond faster and help achieve better separation and improved clarity to our overall tone. We call this new process ATR™ ‘Advanced

The pride within the factory is immediately evident. Floors are made of mahogany, some walls are rosewood tongue and groove, and furniture is hand carved by the luthiers. The amount of naturally seasoned tone wood is legendary and the production line marries time honored handmade craftsmanship with modern day design and processes. Being one of the hardest working guitarists in the industry, designing a guitar for legendary picker Brad Davis was no small endeavor. Brad’s style, technique and work ethic has earned him a Grammy and collaborations with some of the most well known artists of today, and he needed an instrument that could respond to the demands of life on the road and in the studio.
Brad worked personally with Alvarez Head of Development, Chris Meikle, to bring to life a guitar that was reminiscent of a vintage s dreadnought, with all the power, punch and shimmering trebles guitars of that era had during the golden age of blues and roots music.
Chris and Brad designed a guitar that utilized perfectly seasoned tonewoods from the Yairi factory, a AAA Sitka spruce top with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides to capture the tonal colors DYM BD and volume suitable for Brad’s music. Handmade in the Yairi factory in Kani, Japan, the Brad Davis Signature DYMBD is made with all the expertise and knowledge Alvarez has to o er.

Richard signed with Atlantic Records for innovating the double-down-up and toured throughout the ’s and ’s with his band Love Spit Love and the technique, which he uses to achieve Psychedelic Furs with Frank Ferrer. In Richard joined one of America’s most blistering speeds while maintaining recognized hard rock bands “Guns N’ Roses”, playing both rhythm and lead. note clarity. Richard is involved in many other projects including work with Rihanna, N*SYNC, 25 Ben Folds, Thin Lizzy, and techno-rock groups BT and Crystal Method. CÁDIZ o ers responsive and engaging nylon string guitars of a quality and playability we think you’ll adore. Everything about them is considered and chosen. They are a new shape, di erent to Classicals we have made in the past, slightly taller, slightly narrower, more elegant. The soundbox is more lightly built, the tops are graduated and each brace CÁDIZ is custom cut and sanded with 4 varying widths in total.
The bracing design gives a slight nod to Jose Ramirez III’s asymmetric architecture in the fact that our guitars have a treble bar. This is to sti en up the treble side of the top a little more which helps us create very round, bell like trebles on our first three strings. We keep the bass side of the top light by using slightly thinner braces which helps us give the player very open, clear and strong bass response.
We believe CÁDIZ will engage any player who is looking for di erent tones from an engaging nylon string guitar.
