A tiered is a classic that will never go out of style. You can make a tiered cake your own by choosing flavors, fillings, toppers, and design! A cake appointment is a lot of fun, and should include a tasting where you can try some of your favorite fla- vors! I recommend arriving prepared with some ideas of what you want! Y’all there are so many beautiful things about a wedding day. And there are traditions that I absolutely love! But having one cake isn’t necessary. A traditional wedding cake will never go out of style. Heck I talk about them on the very first page of this guide. But sometimes you want to do something different and unique. Y’all some people just don’t like cake! I’ve been to over 50 weddings, and boo they do not all serve cake. So let’s dive into a list of things you could serve instead if you or your fian- ce doesn’t like cake or if you just want to think outside the box!

Cupcakes

Donuts

Pie

Cheesecake

Ice Cream Bar

Root Beer Floats

Macarons

A waffle bar

I even went to a wedding where the bride and groom served popsi- cles! So don’t feel like anything is off limits! Whatever your favor- ite dessert is is absolutely an option!

WWW.SUSANNAHLYNN.COM | 4 Last, but certainly not least, I want to give you a look at what we chose for our wedding desserts! My husband and I LOVE cake. But we also wanted to do something more unique, so we had a dessert table! On it were three cakes, macrons, and cake baubles. Each cake was a different fla- vor, and so was each plate of macrons. But we tied it all together by having the same color theme throughout!

WWW.SUSANNAHLYNN.COM | 7 I KNOW I JUST GAVEone YOU finalA LOT TO note THINK ABOUT. I created this guide to help make your wedding planning experience something you’ll look back fondly on for years and years to come. At the end of the day, though, the dessert you decide on won’t matter nearly as much as the memories you make together. Your future marriage is the most important thing to me! Remember to just be yourselves and enjoy it. Have fun together. Laugh a lot.
