Dear friends and participants,

We present the 5th ISMEC International Course. For this edition, the aim is to bring together professionals from all disciplines involved in the treatment of athletes, with the message of teamwork to achieve the common goal of healing athletes so they can return to competition.

The course will cover topics of great interest for those working with injured athletes in the fields of new technologies and shoulder, knee, elbow, wrist, spine, hip, tendon and muscle injuries, and in different sports, providing details of the specific characteristics of each injury, treatment and recovery. Each block will provide the perspective of different professionals, who will interact to offer participants an overview that will further enrich their knowledge.

Thus, speakers of the highest calibre will attend from the fields of sports medicine, surgery and physiotherapy, rehabilitation and research, as well as elite trainers and athletes. All of them are consultants and professionals from different teams and professional sports at the highest level. Noteworthy participants will include, among others, the Olympic medallist Mireia Belmonte, who has already confirmed she will attend the inauguration ceremony to share her experience with us and discuss the importance of teamwork.

The course will be held at the NH Sevilla Collection hotel, which is especially designed for this type of event and located in the city centre. We have also included workshops with a catering service in situ at the hotel so that participants can develop their skills and interact amicably with the speakers.

For all these reasons, we hope this event will be interest to you and we look forward to seeing you in on 16 and 17 February 2017.

Dr. Emilio López-Vidriero Director of ISMEC. International Sports Medicine Clinic. Seville.
