How do you think competing as a student-athlete at Boston University, particularly with Robyne and her staff, helped you prepare for life after college?

Competing as a student-athlete at an institution known for its academic rigor was the best of both worlds. Track and Field and school were my two focuses since I was 7 years old and having T&F be able to be part of my life during college, for 5 years, was a symbiotic relationship. Doing well in the classroom was necessary to do well on the track and in the field and the reverse is true.

Maintaining this balance has helped me to manage time and have an understanding of my capacity. As a track and field athlete particularly, I have learned how to work through matters on my own, how to find success in my own strengths, and how to contribute to a team. Coach J was an involved coach, we often had one-on-one training time and I was in her office all the time, for every reason. 2018-19 TRACK & FIELD FALL NEWSLETTER
