Homecoming!

Parade Expectations: Be safe, responsible, and respectful. We are placing a great deal of trust in you as students. We have more than 40 floats in our parade today with extra support from OPS security and the Omaha Police Department will be present. North staff will be on carts for supervision, so if there are needs, please communicate. Buses will be transporting students. Two are for spectators, 4 are for participants. The spectator buses will load and unload at the Fareway Parking lot. The participant buses will unload at Miller Park to start the parade, and reload on Bondesson street at the end of the parade.

Regular bus route buses will run as normal after the parade, arriving at North at 3:00 or before and departing at 3:15 sharp.

The homecoming football game is tonight vs. Lincoln Southwest. Staff will be on hand to ensure spectators are serving our mission as Vikings – being safe, responsible and respectful. Any students not living this mission will be asked to leave. Let’s cheer on our team, the dance team, the cheerleaders, the band, ROTC, and all others who are performing and competing on the field.

Dance tickets will be sold through lunch today, and again after school until 3:30 PM. No tickets are sold at the door. The dance is tomorrow night at 7:00 PM in the MPC. Extra staff and security will be on duty to support. Please wear nice attire to our dance, and understand that once you leave, you leave for the evening.

Please enjoy Slam Poetry introduction on Tuesday, September 14th from 3:15 to 5:00 in Room 208. We will be honored to meet teaching artist/poet Traci Schacht and welcome her to our program this year.
