Using new school property for practical purposes I am writing about the two recent property purchases authorized by Fill- more residents last May. Eventually the two lots will be turned into a school parking lot to handle the overflow of cars who have no place to park when attending large school events such as open house, parent conferences, athletic, academic and artistic contests, concerts, musicals and graduation. However, we will need to wait a few years before our allotted cap on site work increases enough to allow our residents to vote on constructing a parking lot. All in all, Fillmore students brought home 9 plaques on Friday the 4th! These contests help stu- dents learn how to identify some of our natural resources and there are often test questions on the uses of various timber species. We started preparation for these contests at the beginning of the summer when students studied and competed at the Allegany County Fair. If your son or daughter is currently Mrs. Chelsey Aylor, Chairperson enrolled in at least one class with Ms. Brown or Mrs. Earley, he or she will be given a blank square to create a masterpiece in class. Square 1 Art is a company Curriculum 567-4432 that creates memorable keepsakes from your child’s artwork.
