Dear customer, your booking was successful! To ensure your trip runs smoothly, our team will inform you about any changes to your flight via email.

Important USA Entry Requirements Effective from 2009 each passenger who is not in possesion of an American is required to  apply here for a travel authorization in order to visit the US.

CHANGES IN REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTERING THE USA (do not concern travelers with U.S. citizenship): Please be aware, starting on the 01.04.2016 it is mandatory to carry an electronic passport on to the US where an ESTA is needed. The so called ePassport has all your biometric data, like Fingerprints, photograph and personal information, saved on a chip. If you only have a temporary/preliminary passport, you have to apply for a Visa

Another change affects travelers with dual citizenship, where one part is the Iranian, Iraqi, Syrian or Sudanese citizenship. The before mentioned are excluded from the Visa Waiver Program and have to apply for a visa for their stay in the USA. Also travelers who have visited Iran, Iraq, Syria or Sudan since 01.03.2011 have to apply for a Visa. (Excluded from this regulation are: full-time employees of the German Government/ Armed Forces members.) Approved ESTA applications are no longer valid for the before mentioned travelers.  Read more

Baggage Normally an adult passenger is allowed 20 kilograms in , 30 kilos in and 40 kilos in fi rst class. This might be different from airline to airline. For flights between Germany and USA there is a different maximum . For details please contact the airline directly or give us a call at 0621-72920. We suggest checking the weight of your luggage before departure. If you want to check exceeding baggage (for example golf clubs), please get in touch with the airline in time.

Damaged Baggage The airline is liable if any damage should occur to your luggage. Please reclaim every damage as soon as you notice it – don’t wait until you are home. You will need the sticker for your luggage that you received at the check in desk.

New Regulations for Carry-on Baggage Only limited amounts of liquids may be taken on board flights that depart from EU countries and on connecting flights from Europe. This includes all German domestic flights. A similar regulation also applies to direct and connecting flights to the USA and the UK. All the latest information on regulations affecting on flights to the USA can be found at the following link: www.tsa.gov Liquid and gel-based products such as healthcare products and cosmetics may be carried in hand luggage as long as they comply with the following regulations: » Containers with liquids and similar products may contain up to 100 millilitres (the printed maximum quantity applies) » All containers must be carried in a transparent resealable plastic bag (e.g. a so-called „zip-lock‚) with a maximum capacity of one litre » One bag per person » The bag must be presented separately at the security check

Medication and special foodstuffs (e.g. baby food) which are needed during a fl ight may be transported outside the plastic ziplock bag. Articles and plastic bags that do not comply with the regulations may not be taken on board. A similar regulation has applied since 29 September 2006 for flights and connecting flights to the USA, with a limit of 90 millilitres per container. At present, however, 100 millilitres is allowed at German for flights to the USA.

Duty-free articles purchased at airports inside the EU or on flights on planes registered in the EU, may be carried on board in a sealed bag as long as they are accompanied by a receipt bearing the date of the flight (this does not apply to flights to the USA or to code- share flights). These items must be sealed by the duty-free sales staff. Additional special regulations apply to USA and UK flights. For example, liquids still may not be taken on board as hand luggage on any flights departing from or fl ying via the . Special regulations apply to liquid Duty Free items in hand luggage taken on board direct and connecting flights to the USA. Please ask about these at the local sales outlet.

Passengers are asked to bear them in mind already when preparing for a trip to reduce hand luggage to the bare minimum.

We apologise for any inconvenience which passengers may experience as a result of these offi cial restrictions. We recommend that passengers restrict hand luggage to the absolute necessities and arrive at the airport in good time.

Hand luggage on UK flights The following regulations for the carrying of hand luggage only apply to flights from or via the United Kingdom. On these flights, in addition to the restrictions already mentioned, your hand luggage must not contain the following items: » Cigarette lighters are not permitted in any baggage. These may be purchased after passing the security check

Carry-on baggage may include: » Electronic equipment including mobile phones, digital cameras and MP3 players » Laptops and large electronic equipment (e.g. large hair dryer) may be carried in cabin baggage, but must be taken out for x-ray controls » Prescription medicines in liquid form if needed during the fl ight, e.g. diabetic kit » Baby milk and liquid baby food (the contents of each bottle must be tasted by the accompanying passenger)

Pieces of Carry-on Baggage In First and Business Class you may take two pieces of hand baggage on board. Please stow one of the pieces under the seat in front of you. Economy Class passengers are only permitted one piece of hand baggage. Please check for country-specifi c differences.

Size and weight of Carry-on Baggage Each piece of hand baggage may not be larger than 55 x 40 x 20 cm and may not weigh more than 8 kg. An exception are foldable garment bags. They count as hand baggage up to a size of 57 x 54 x 15 cm. Pieces of baggage exceeding these limits have to be checked in. As the stowage space in the cabin is limited they will be transported in the cargo hold. This is in the interests of your own and other passengers‘ safety and comfort.

Differing rules In certain cases the First and Business Class passengers are asked to check in their second piece of hand baggage: » Flights with small aircrafts, mainly on regional routes » In countries with restrictive government regulations (such as Italy and the USA)

Due to the limited space on board you are given the opportunity on almost all Regional flights to keep your cabin baggage until boarding. You hand it over directly before entering the aircraft. When disembarking you will receive your cabin baggage directly at the aircraft. For that purpose, baggage carts are positioned next to the aircraft stairs.

Technical appliances in Carry-on Baggage If you would like to take for example an MP3 player, a portable CD player, a laptop or mobile phone with you in your hand baggage the security laws of the respective place of departure apply.

Certain electronic devices may not be used during the fl ight because they may interfere with the electronic aviation systems. The fl ight attendants will be happy to inform you which appliances can be used without restrictions inside the aircraft. Mobile telephones have to be completely turned off during your entire stay on board.

These items you may take into the cabin in addition In addition to your hand baggage and technical appliances you may take the following items into the cabin: » A handbag, wrist bag or small bag (or small laptop bag) and their content » A coat, shawl or blanket » A small camera or a pair of binoculars » An appropriate amount of reading material for the journey » A baby basket and baby food for the flight » Crutches or other orthopaedic aids you are depending on

These items you may not take into the cabin: » It is not allowed to carry items in your hand baggage that can cause injuries: » Fake weapons and items that may be used as weapons which can discharge a projectile » False weapons » Pointed and sharp items (e.g. scissors, pocket knives) » Blunt items (e.g. baseball bat) » All other dangerous items.

Special Requests We want to arrange your travel as comfortable as we can. We have direct access to the or consolidators and can register different services directly. For example: exceeding baggage registration, pet travel service, wishes for meals, escort at the connecting airport, wheelchairs and more.

Cancellation before Departure We will need a written notice though email or fax, if you want to cancel your fl ight before departure so you will not be considered a „No-Show‚ with the airline. This would make it more diffi cult and expensive to refund your ticket. If an accident should occur on the travel date, please either inform the airline or ABC Travel Service.
