The Property

A superb and imposing family house, Jindabyne has been remodelled and thoroughly refurbished over the years. It has very handsome mellow brick elevations, the rear being colour washed with inset casement windows under a tiled and dormered roof. The extensive accommodation is laid out over three floors extending to over 5000 sq ft. The main reception rooms radiate off the staircase hall, ideal for entertaining and have many features including fireplaces, moulded cornicing, ceiling roses and bevelled glass to some of the internal doors. The kitchen/breakfast room is superbly fitted with oak fronted units, black polished granite work surfaces and there are a number of integrated appliances. The kitchen and the entrance hall have stone tiled floors. On the first floor, which is approached by a fine staircase, are seven bedrooms and five bathrooms and shower rooms arranged in four suites. On the second floor there is a large games room/playroom and a sitting area. This could easily be converted into a nanny/au pair’s flat.

Outside The house is approached from Cross Way through solid automatic opening wooden gates. These give access to a gravel and brick paviour driveway. The brick built double garage also has a workshop area, gardener’s cloakroom, an integral store and boarded loft over which could simply be converted into a home office/studio, etc. There are mature gardens which are well screened and shielded by fencing and mature hedging and trees surround the house. There are stone terraces, sweeping lawns and further shrubs and trees. The gardens extend in all to about 0.659 acres (0.267 ha).
