00:34 … You will also discover the brand new Renault Sport R.S. 01, a pure racing car scheduled for the 2015 World Series by Renault…

00:42 … and we meet Carlos Sainz just before his title deciders.

00:47 All the Highlights of the meeting.

00:56 MAP & POSTCARD

01:06 Voice Over The Jerez circuit is a clockwise track, 4,428 km long, offering 13 corners. A much loved classic until 1997.

3

01:20 Voice Over Set in the picturesque Andalusia, near the Atlantic coast, as famous for its sherry as for motorsport. Jerez is visited for the first time by the World Series By Renault for the last meeting of the tenth season.

01:48 JINGLE FEATURE: TRACK BUEMI’S TOP 3

02:01 ITW Sébastien BUEMI – Red Bull Racing Test and Reserve Driver (In English) “Hi everyone! Join me on the track for the best 3 sections of this classic circuit…

… NUMBER ONE! This is the best corner of the circuit in Jerez, because you arrive flat out, more than 250 Kph, and once you turn into the corner, you just don’t see the exit, it’s a blind corner. You’ve got to be really brave if you want to do this corner flat out… Scary, isn’t it”

02:27 ITW Sébastien BUEMI – Red Bull Racing Test and Reserve Driver (In English) “NUMBER 2! This is my second best corner around this track. It’s again a very high speed corner, that’s what drivers love. In order to be quick in this one, you’ve got to have a late apex. You got to feel the tyres and the grip because it’s a corner that is reached above 200 kph.”

02:51 ITW Sébastien BUEMI – Red Bull Racing Test and Reserve Driver (In English)

4

“NUMBER 3! This is the most difficult part, here on this circuit. It’s very tricky in the entry of the chicane. First you have to be quite quick on the entry, then you have to make sure you stay a little bit on the left in order to have a very good exit. You have to carry the speed out of the corner. I hope you enjoyed it. That was my top 3 corners in Jerez.”

03:22 HIGHLIGHTS EUROCUP FORMULA RENAULT 2.0

03:27 RACE 1 START #22 Dennis OLSEN (NOR – ) on pole, 2014 Champion #19 Nyck DE VRIES (NED Korainen GP) alongside in P2 – both get away cleanly, DE VRIES cannot pass into Turn 1. Great start #8 Jack AITKEN (GBR – Fortec Motorsports) & #23 Alexander ALBON (THA – KTR), both pass #21 Hans VILLEMI (EST – Prema Powerteam) who drops to P5

03:44 Retirement after an incident for Korainen team-mates #18 Stefan RIENER (AUT) and #17 HONG LI YE (CHN)

03:48 … on the next corner, a spin for #15 Kevin JORG (SUI – ) leads to heavy contact with #51 Ben BARNICOAT (GBR – Fortec Motorsports), #7 (GBR – Fortec Motorsports) and #60 (GBR – Strakka Racing)

03:58 #2 George RUSSELL (GBR – Tech 1 Racing) good overtaking move on #20 Bruno BONIFACIO (BRA – Prema Powerteam) – some contact, but completes the move up to P6

5

04:05 DE VRIES overtakes OLSEN for P1, Korainen team appreciate the move.

04:13 #21 Hans VILLEMI (Prema Powerteam) is pushing hard behind ALBON and overtakes for P4

04:17 DE VRIES wins

04:20 ITW Winner Nyck DE VRIES In English “So far I have mainly won races from pole, now I can show I can also overtake – really pleased with that. Also a fantastic job by the team – we’ve also won the teams championship, so it has been a fantastic day.”

04:35 GFX Race Classification

04:42 RACE 2 START #2 Wild-card entry George RUSSELL (GBR – Tech 1 Racing) on pole gets a great start, as does #19 Nyck DE VRIES (NED Koiranen GP) up to P2 from P3, #23 Alexander ALBON (THA – KTR) drops from P2 to P5.

05:27 Celebrations

05:32 GFX Race Classification

05:38 ITW Winner George RUSSELL In English “At the beginning we got a good start, got a bit of a gap to De Vries, then the worst thing that could happen to me – the Safety Car came out. So I stayed focused, made another good restart, had to defend in the first couple of corners from Nyck, but after that we got our head down and made a gap.”

06:01 Podium

06:05 JINGLE FEATURE: NYCK THE GREAT

06:13 VOICE OVER In his 3 rd season of Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, 19 year old Dutch driver Nyck De Vries arrives in Jerez having already won the title…

06:25 ITW Nyck De VRIES #19 Korainen GP IN ENGLISH “I have to admit it feels like a small relief, I have bee working for this for three years now, so it is about time! Nevertheless we still managed to achieve our goals and expectations, and I am really happy and proud about that.”

06:48 VOICE OVER On paper, with 254 points and a winning margin of 130 points it looks like the season was easy… 06:57 ITW Nyck De VRIES #19 Korainen GP IN ENGLISH “The key was to be consistent, and I think we’ve proven to be very consistent. Every weekend we’ve scored a podium or a win, so that was really important. But there are quite a few occasions that I would like to go back to, made some changes, some different decisions…

8

Especially at the start of the season, pretty much every weekend there was something. Motorland, second race I was running P3 and went off the track myself and finished P4… Spa we had a double pole but in the race unfortunately we were not as strong as Prema so we didn’t manage to turn our poles into victories. Moscow we had a pole for Race 2 and then I missed the start. Nurburgring I didn’t do a very good second qualifying so we finished 4 th in Race 2. So everywhere there were some small bits and pieces that could have gone better, but in the end we made less mistakes than the others and that made us champions.”

“I think Dennis deserves to be second in the championship, he has been the most consistent after us so I would say he has been a good title contender.” “The logical step forward would be Formula Renault 3.5 but let’s see – I am not in charge of my decisions, so let’s see what McLaren and the management decides. Without their support I wouldn’t be where I am right now, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to race in this series and win it, so I’m very thankful to them for continuing to believe in me and support me, and I hope we will have a great future together.”

08:52 VOICE OVER But right now, this is a teenage champion with other things on his mind…

09:00 ITW Nyck De VRIES #19 Korainen GP IN ENGLISH

9

“Will I get the BRM watch as well? It feels special – I was expecting my name on it but I don’t see Nyck De Vries on it so I am a bit disappointed!”

09:19 End of Part 1

10

PART 2 (09:40)

09:19 JINGLE FEATURE: THE RENAULT SPORT R.S. 01

00:05 Clip – Do not talk

00:27 ITW – Renault Ambassador. In French “First, the car is beautiful. A superb design linked to the spirit of Laurens van den Acker as his work on the Clio, the Captur, the Twingo, and now the new Renault Espace. It’s a wide range. With the Espace Initiale, Renault shows what will be its luxurious models. Luxury, like sport, is all about the image of the brand. With this RS 01, I think we are crossing new style, luxury, sport and technology. It demonstrates what Renault will do in the future.”

01:10 ITW Jean-Pascal DAUCE – Renault Sport Technologies Director of Motorsport. In French “RS 01 is about 5 months of design and 7 months of development under the authority of Renault Sport Technologies. We worked in close association with Companies dedicated to Motorsport, like for the chassis and Nismo our engine partner. The result is a car with more than 500 horsepower, faster than a GT, with a fantastic aerodynamic efficiency. It’s just a very powerful car!”

11

01:48 ITW Alain PROST – Renault Ambassador In French “I found it to be a true racing car. It’s nice that when it turns it stays level – that’s one of the downsides of certain GTs, and it’s certainly one of the qualities of this car. The power is truly there but you are in control because of both the handling and the aero. In the end, behind the steering wheel, it’s a very nice car for professional drivers and gentlemen drivers. It is a balance which works very well for both.” 02:28 ITW Jean-Pascal DAUCE – Renault Sport Technologies Director of Motorsport. In French “The car will be racing next year within the World Series by Renault. From May 2015, the Renault Sport RS 01 Trophy will offer a brand new format with a car shared between a pro and an amateur. 2 sprint races, one for each driver, then an endurance race to finish the week- end.”

02:51 JINGLE FEATURE: FINAL COUNTDOWN

02:57 VOICE OVER In his first full season of Formula Renault 3.5 Series, Carlos Sainz Jr arrives in Jerez with a 44 point lead in the championship… Has it sunk in yet that he could be champion this weekend in Jerez?

03:13 ITW Carlos SAINZ #1 Dams IN ENGLISH

12

“I’m going to be honest, I’m a guy that dreams and I dream a lot, and for sure in my dreams this image has come into my mind, before I go to sleep, I cannot think too much about this because I motivate myself too much… I have to keep calm, keep cool. It’s true that the margin is decent - we have a 44 points margin with 50 points in play – it’s a decent margin, but you cannot get too relaxed. Especially if it’s your home race, on your home track… It’s amazing how many friends of mine, family, are coming here to support me this weekend and it’s amazing too how many fans are going to come, I’ve heard there are good numbers. An amazing weekend for me that I will probably remember my whole life – even if it goes right or wrong because it will be quite dramatic if it doesn’t go right!”

04:08 VOICE OVER Carlos has been pushed hard all season by his rivals…

04:16 ITW Carlos SAINZ #1 Dams IN ENGLISH “Roberto, from mid-season onwards, has been the toughest rival for sure. Then we have Oliver who I think has been the fastest of the contenders but he just didn’t have the luck with him – as soon as he doesn’t have a problem, he is always fighting with me or whoever is P1. And then there is Pierre, the man of regularity, it is amazing how regular and consistent he has been during the season. Two very strong rookies that have always been in my mind during the whole championship because as we have seen in the past, a rookie can always have the chance of winning this championship.”

13

05:00 VOICE OVER His name has been closely linked with a seat in Formula 1 next year, primarily with Toro Rosso… Is he any closer to knowing his future?

05:13 ITW Carlos SAINZ #1 Dams IN ENGLISH “I have no idea to be honest. I would like to be here telling you that I have secured a place in Formula 1 for next year but at the moment this is still my main dream, my main target, but it hasn’t become true yet. I think I still need to finish the job here in the 3.5. I need to score a strong weekend, I need to score the championship mainly, and after this hopefully logic says it should come.”

05:43 “This year I have enjoyed so much the 3.5 together with my team, I have enjoyed so much every single second that I have been in the car, that I don’t think about anything else – and this has been one of the keys for so many wins this year – that as soon as I am putting on the helmet and stepping into the car, I never think about this kind of stuff.”

06:03 VOICE OVER Now it’s time to seal the deal…

14

06:08 JINGLE HIGHLIGHTS FR 3.5 SERIES RACE 1

06:13 Race Start Clean start for #11 (GBR – Strakka Racing) on pole and #4 Oliver ROWLAND (GBR – Fortec Motorsports) in P2. 15

07:41 (onboard) SAINZ tries to overtake #2 Norman NATO (FRA – DAMS) for P8… but does not pass.

07:47 Last lap, with #3 Sergey SIROTKIN (RUS – Fortec Motorsports) close behind, ROWLAND’s pressure on STEVENS forces a mistake but STEVENS stays in front, takes the chequered flag as winner… by 0.078sec!

08:13 SAINZ crosses finish line, celebrates becoming 2014 Champion.

08:20 GFX Race Classification

08:29 ITW Winner: Will STEVENS In English “I kept trying to push and then back off to judge the pace, which I think we did pretty well. The last 2 or 3 laps we lost the rear tyres, but overall it’s a great result for the team, we’ve worked hard and hopefully we can continue into tomorrow. ( Interviewer question: Towards the end, a nice battle with Oliver but you managed to defend. ”Yeah I knew he was always strong coming out of the last corner so I knew if he was going to overtake me anywhere it would be there. But I didn’t make hardly any mistakes, and I knew that if I didn’t, then I could hold on. So overall I’m happy”

PART 3 (07:10)

00:00 JINGLE HIGHLIGHTS FR 3.5 RACE 2

00:05 Race Start Pole position for #4 Oliver ROWLAND (GBR – Fortec Motorsports), with #7 Pierre GASLY (FRA – Arden Motorsport) in P2. #22 Roberto MEHRI (ESP – Zeta Corse) had his pole lap discounted for an infringement, starts P3. 00:31 Double contact between #6 (ITA – International ) and #21 Roman MAVLANOV (RUS – Zeta Corse). Race over for both.

00:42 ROWLAND starts to extend his lead from GASLY P2

00:47 MERHI takes his obligatory pit-stop to change tyres – disaster as the car stalls, pit-stop takes too long.

00:59 (onboard) GASLY and ROWLAND pit at the same time… GASLY’s stop is very slow, and ROWLAND leaves the pitlane with a bigger lead

18

01:13 MEHRI’s bad weekend gets worse as he retires, small fire on the car is extinguished.

02:01 Celebrations

02:05 GFX Race Classification

19

02:11 ITW Winner: Oliver ROWLAND In English “At the start I knew Pierre or Roberto could be fast, so I knew I had to push to build a gap to try and get the undercut at the pit-stop, and I did that pretty well, and I think Pierre had a problem in the pit-stop and it just allowed me to pull a gap. The car was fantastic today, the last few laps I pushed quite hard, think I got fastest lap on the last lap.”
