BedZED multi-awardwinning eco-village developed by Peabody Trust in partnership with BioRegional Development Group and designed by BDA BioRegional Quintain and BioRegional Development Group are seeking a site on which they can develop a large-scale zero carbon zero waste community that will have integrated sustainable energy, waste and water infrastructure, use sustainable systems and materials and will enable residents to lead sustainable lifestyles – A flagship One Planet Living Community. The site may support 2000 new homes, or a smaller number of homes where there is the opportunity to upgrade and provide services to the existing housing stock.

The Community will have sustainability in its DNA. A flagship One Planet Living Community for the UK

We are seeking a site for a large scale residential-led mixed-use development in London or the Thames Gateway.

Sites that are of sufficient size to deliver in the region of 2000 homes as well as retail/leisure, office/workspace and community facilities will be considered.

We are looking to develop England’s most advanced sustainable community, applying the ten One Planet Living principles to achieve zero carbon emissions and zero waste. We will provide integrated infrastructure with and use sustainable construction materials.

Target Site Requirements:

• Location London or Thames Gateway close to a transport node - ideally within 500m of a London Underground, mainline or DLR station with a minimum of 4 services per hour during working hours
