BREVE DESCRIÇÃO Em Outubro de 2016, a ViniPortugal organizou as Provas Anuais de Outono em 3 cidades: Chicago, São Francisco e Nova Iorque. As provas tiveram, cada uma, uma prova genérica e uma masterclass. Foi ainda montada uma mesa onde foram servidos vinhos dos produtores participantes na prova, premiados nos 50Greats 2016 em Chicago e São Francisco. A prova de São Francisco, contou com a participação de 48 produtores, que proporcionaram ao trade e media a possibilidade de provar uma vasta gama de vinhos portugueses.

ANÁLISE GERAL DO EVENTO
PROMOÇÃO Foram convidados profissionais de Trade de topo bem como OCS locais do sector para estar presentes na masterclass de São Francisco.
MONTAGEM O evento, que decorreu no The Merchant Exchange Building na sala Julia Morgan Ballroom, contou com 38 mesas, mais uma mesa para os premiados na edição de 2016 dos 50 Great Portuguese Wines para o mercado americano, cada uma com table tent identificativo. O embaixador dos vinhos de Portugal nos EUA, Eugénio Jardim, foi responsável por apresentar e dar a provas os vinhos dos 50Great 2016 numa mesa destacada para o efeito.
Os materiais de comunicação na prova incluíram banners com a marca (peças que já existiam), cartazes com o nome dos produtores, corredores de mesa (em casa mesa e na mesa de acreditação) e um placard gigante com o nome de todos os produtores na entrada.
Foi distribuído um catálogo com todos os produtores e vinhos a ser servidos durante a prova, bem como o desdobrável da marca juntamente com a brochura institucional.
Foram convidados mais de 600 profissionais de trade e media para estar no evento. Os participantes tiveram a oportunidade de interagir com os produtores e seus representantes enquanto provavam os seus
vinhos. Foram ainda servidos aperitivos para demonstrar a versatilidades dos vinhos portugueses harmonizarem com diferentes tipos de cozinha.

Wines of Portugal Concludes 2016 Campaign With Fall Tasting Tour
U.S. Tour Visits Chicago, San Francisco and New York Markets
New York, NY, October 13, 2016 – Wines of Portugal announces its fall 2016 Producer Showcase tasting series as part of a yearlong tour of top U.S. markets. Building on momentum from Producer Showcase events in Boston and Seattle this spring and a 50 Great Portuguese Wines selection earlier this year, Wines of Portugal is featuring a range of Portuguese wineries in Chicago, San Francisco and New York City, concluding the 2016 U.S. campaign.
Portugal’s over 800 years of rich history continues to receive increased positive recognition in prominent media outlets as a top destination for wine and food tourism, including an impressive 24 awards at the World Travel Awards.
“The U.S. market is continuing to show interest in Portuguese wines, with still wine exports to the U.S. increasing 22.6% this year,” says Nuno Vale, Wines of Portugal Marketing Director. “U.S. consumers recognize the versatility of Portuguese wines, and we’re confident our fall tastings will continue to build excitement for them, as we head into a busy holiday season.”
Wines of Portugal’s fall events for trade, media and consumers offer a variety of wines for sampling from various regions including Alentejo, Bairrada, Dão, Douro, Tejo, Vinho Verde and more.
Consumers in San Francisco have a unique opportunity to taste Portuguese wines paired with local food trucks at the Perfect Portuguese Pairings event. In its second year, this pairing competition features teams comprised of the city’s top sommeliers and retailers.
