Outline Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in airport and Pre-trip meeting. After arriving in Kathmandu, a representative from Luxury Holidays will pick up from the airport and take to your hotel. In the afternoon, you may take a rest or visit Luxury Holidays Nepal’s office. At evening, we host a pre-trip meeting at your hotel in Kathmandu and introduce your tour and trekking guide. Please seek this opportunity to ask questions about your trip. This includes a final briefing and preparations for the trip. For the meeting, please make sure you bring your passport, three copies of passport-size photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy.

Day 2: A full day recreational tour of Kathmandu, the capital valley After breakfast, your sightseeing trip will start. You will have a private vehicle and a professional tour guide for your sightseeing tour. You will visit the following sites. Swyambunath - The Monkey Temple (World Heritage Site): You can watch over the valley from the top of a hillock on its western side. Swyambhu is also known as Samhengu and the Monkey temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. Pashupatinath Temple (World Heritage Site): Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest Hindu temples of Nepal. It is located on the banks of Bagmati River on the eastern outskirts of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is the most important temple dedicated to god Shiva. Boudhanath Stupa: Boudhanath Stupa is 2500 years old Buddhist stupa in the Valley built in the 5th century with four pairs of eyes of Lord Buddha in four cardinal directions keeping an eternal watch over the people and their doings. You will find Buddhist pilgrims from going round the stupa spinning the prayer wheels. Patan Durbar Square (World Heritage Site): Patan Durbar Square - located in central of city Lalitpur. It displays the Newari architecture that had reached its pinnacle during the reign of Malla kings who were great builders and patrons of the arts.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to . After breakfast, leave Kathmandu for Pokhara (known as The Lake City owing to a large number of lakes in the city). As you leave Kathmandu, the landscape changes. You will see hills, small settlements and terraced farms. Upon your arrival in Pokhara, the beautiful lake city, you are rewarded with magnificent views of the , including (8,167m), (8,156m), Machhapuchhre (6,993m), the five peaks of and others. Check-in to the hotel and take a rest. You may also stroll in the streets of Pokhara and just enjoy being in one of the most beautiful cities of Nepal.

Day 4: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Dhampus: 1 hrs drive/3-4 hrs trek After breakfast, drive to Phedi in a private vehicle for an hour and then begin your trek by ascending to Dhampus for 3 to 4 hours. On the way, you pass through beautiful terraced fields, hamlets, and lush forest. Overnight at Guest house.

Day 5: Trek from Dhampus to Sarangkot: 3-4 hours trek After taking your breakfast start your trek. The trekking trail passes through paddy fields, magnificent hills, middle landscapes and showcases the beautiful view of the Himalayan ranges. You reach Sarangkot, one of the Nepal's best sunrise and sunset view point from where you can see a breathtaking view of Annapurna (8,091m.), Dhaulagiri (8,167m.), Ganesh Himal (7,446m.), Manaslu (8,165m.), Machhapuchhre (6,993m.) and others. In addition, you also see a nice view of Pokhara city.

Day 6: Drive from Sarangkot to Pokhara and a full day Pokhara Sightseeing tour. Early morning hike to viewpoint. Before the sun rises, you will leave your warm bed and head towards the Sarangkot viewpoint to witness the beautiful sunrise ornamenting the white snowcapped mountains. Breakfast at the hotel and drive back to Pokhara. You will have a private vehicle and a professional tour guide at your disposal. The places you visit are as below: Bindhabasini Temple: Lies in the center of religious old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, yet another manifestation of Shakti. The park grounds offer a fine picnic and relaxing area. Davis fall: Locally known as Patale Chhango and in the southern flank of the Pokhara valley is where the stream flowing from Fewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into a deep gorge, leaping through several potholes. This is hugely popular with tourists and locals alike. Gupteshwor Cave: The revered Gupteshwor Cave is situated 2 kms from . The entrance is right across from Devi’s fall and the cave is almost 3 kms long. It has some big hall-sized rooms and some passages where you have to crawl on all four. This cave holds special value to Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition it was discovered. and Barahi Temple: Situated at an altitude of 800m above sea level, it is the second largest lake in the kingdom. With the Barahi Island Temple in the middle of the lake it is the most important religious monument in Pokhara. The reflection of Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna can be seen in its serene water. Thick forest lies on the adjoining southern slopes of the lake. Seti River Gorges: Carved by Seti-Gandaki is one of the natural wonders of Pokhara. K.I. Singh bridge at Bagar, Mahendrapool & Prithivi Highway Bridge near bus park, provides a perfect view of the river’s dreadful rush and the deep gorge made by the turbulent flow of white water. Tibetan Refugee Camps: The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and the Tashi Palkhel village in the north of Pokhara are renowned for the production and trade of woolen carpets and other handicrafts. The original Tibetan settlers in this region migrated to Nepal in the ‘50s. Overnight at Pokhara.

Day 7: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu from Pokhara: 6-7 Hours drive or 25 min flight You have an option of both driving as well as flying back to Kathmandu. The Pokhara-Kathmandu flight swifts along the Himalayas unveiling Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges. After returning to Kathmandu, you have the afternoon and the evening to stroll along the streets of Kathmandu for some last-minute shopping. There is a farewell dinner in a typical Nepalese restaurant with cultural performances. You have the option to extend your trip to continue onto rafting adventure, Kathmandu valley shopping tour, mountain biking and other activities.

Day 8: Departure day: transfer to the international airport for your final departure!! After a few days of fun and excitement, the day to bid farewell has arrived.
