Choo Wai Kien Job Title: TAGS, Spine and Joint Specialist, AMPANG Course of study at INTI: BSc (HONS) Physiotherapy

I chose INTI because of the campus life which I may not have gotten in other colleges or universities located ‘in the city’. I didn’t want to be commuting “to class daily or get stuck in traffic jams for the 4 years of my studies. But what I like most about INTI (NILAI campus) is that everyone knows each other there. It is a friendly campus in which I made many irreplaceable friends. Plus, since it’s literally in a “jungle”, the air there is almost always fresh!

I have always wanted to do something related to sports, as I grew up being very active in sports. A physiotherapist often deals with sports injury, fitness and training. A degree in physiotherapy enables me just that in understanding the biomechanics of each sports and at the same time, the medical and science part of it.

Graduating with First Class Honors, represented INTI in Clinton Global Initiative 2013 in New York City, able to provide my parents with a better living. My ex-boss, Dr Samuel John Hunter. He was a chiropractor at the branch which I am working at. He inspired me because he overcame career threatening injuries twice and he was still able to come back to work with a positive attitude.

Preparation comes in the form of knowledge. Do well and study hard in university. If your knowledge is at your fingertips, you will overcome most work related matters. Experience will come in time and always remember, failure is a great teacher. ” Logeswarri Rangasamy Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Loma Linda University, California Graduate Research Assistant in The Department of Physical Therapy. Course of study at INTI: BSc (HONS) Physiotherapy

I choose INTI International University as my choice of university to pursue my Bachelors because most importantly I needed a change of environment after “the completion of my diploma from another local college. Despite the fact that Physiotherapy was still a very new program at that point of time, the reputation INTI holds made me to put INTI as the number 1 choice. Like I have mentioned, though it was a very new program, the lecturers strive hard to provide us with the best. I should admit, I like the extra curricular activities the most :) Moreover, I have to mention that I really appreciate the clinical experiences INTI provided us, especially the clinical trainings abroad.

I decided to pursue my studies in the United States because I wanted to excel / improve professionally. No matter what you do, PUT YOUT UTMOST EFFORTS and I assure you that someone will surely appreciate your hard work some day. Learning is a life long process, hence, be open to criticism and accept that as part of learning. ” ROBERT CHUA Job Title: Physiotherapist, Sunway Medical Center Course of study at INTI: BSc (HONS) Physiotherapy

I was in INTI for about 5 and half years. Initially I study in INTI for A-level for about 1 and a half year. When it was time for me to choose my pathway, “I choose to continue my study in INTI. INTI provides me an environment that no other University can provide. It provides me a study-life balance where I can pursue my study and at the same time, I can build my soft skill through the co-curriculum activities in INTI.

Initially I was recommended by my uncle, who is a doctor to study Physiotherapy course. He foresee certain characteristics in me such as patience, caring and humble which is the quality needed by a physiotherapist. What made me decide to continue to pursue my career is the interaction of self and interaction with patients. The outcome of treatment from the patient is the motivation for me to go further.

Well, I don’t really have a person that give me a huge impact on my professional life but there are two persons (colleague) that inspired me a lot when I am working in Sunway Medical Center. Their name are Choo Khai Shaun (my INTI senior also now one of my colleague) and Lim Wil Son. What they really inspired me is their passion in physiotherapy and how the shine throughout their working life. They make me believe that work is not just a tool for earning but also a passion for what we really love to do.

Be who you are and do what you like. We can’t always prepare what is coming in the future but we can always do our best and live our life to fullest every day.

THING TO Healthy Mind. Healthy Body. WE’RE HERE TO HELP OUR STUDENTS LOSE ACHIEVE BOTH. It’s a fact: college is not a walk in the park. The transition from high school to college is a significant change in one’s lifestyle and being away from friends and family in a new and unfamiliar environment can be daunting. For many students, this transition, while exciting, can be tough to cope with.

According to the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, in 2016 alone, one in five Malaysian students suffered from mental health problems. What’s worse, a prolonged state of mental health issues can result in permanent consequences, including schizophrenia, depression, insomnia and ultimately suicidal thoughts. According to the World Health Organization, suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals aged between 15-29 years old, with a suicide attempt occurring every three seconds.
