The Indiana native has helped the Raiders to two post-season appearances in 2013 and 2014, as WSU has received nine All-Horizon League honors during that time. Wright State has posted 148 wins with Woods on staff. He was hired as Director of Operations in 2007 by former WSU head coach Brad Brownell after coaching stints at Saginaw Valley State, Manchester College, and DePauw University. While an assistant coach at Manchester College, Woods was part of a staff that reached the 100-win mark faster than any coaching staff in school history. During his tenure, the best season at Manchester came in 1998–99 when the Spartans went 24-5. That squad advanced to the NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen and won the Indiana Collegiate Athletic Conference championship. That team also finished 10th in the final NABC Coach’s Poll. Assistant Coach First Year Patrice Days joined the Wright State men’s basketball staff in the summer of 2015 and hasn’t looked back. Days will be involved in facets of the program, including recruiting, floor coaching, practice, scouting and academics. Days spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach at Abilene Christian in Texas where he served as the recruiting coordinator under head Assistant Coach Chris Moore coach Joe Golding. Before he joined the ACU staff, he was an assistant coach at Arlington Country Day School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he worked under legendary prep coach Rex Morgan. Days helped Country Day – one of the top prep schools in the country – to a 30-4 record in 2012-13. Prior to coaching at Country Day, Days spent the 2011-12 season as an assistant coach at Vermont Academy and before that (2010-11) he was the director of player development at UNC Charlotte, and before that (2009-10) he was a graduate assistant at New Orleans.

As a player, Days played at Piney Woods High School in Piney Woods, Mississippi., where he averaged nine points and six rebounds per game as a senior in 2001- 02. He spent a year at Southern (LA) University before an injury forced him to miss the rest of the season. He went on to play one season (2006-07) at Caldwell (NC) Community College before returning to Louisiana. He graduated from New Orleans in 2010 with a degree in interdisciplinary studies with a double minor in business and education.

KEVIN DEVITT Assistant Coach Devitt, a 2010 graduate of DePaul University, aided Chicago First Year area players in promoting their skills to prospective colleges, organizing and maintaining the South Suburban Fall Showcase League from 2008-2010. With the Raiders, Devitt will be involved in all facets of the program, including recruiting, practice planning, floor coaching, academics and promotions.

Devitt joined UAB’s staff after spending the previous three seasons as the top assistant and recruiting coordinator at Roosevelt University in Chicago. During his tenure at Roosevelt, Devitt helped revive the basketball program, which had been dormant for the past 20 years. The Lakers showed tremendous improvement as he helped lead them to a 13-game win total improvement over the course of three seasons. Devitt also coached and recruited two All-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference players in Tyree York and Jeremiah Jackson.

Prior to Roosevelt, Devitt spent three years in the high school ranks, two seasons at Richards High School in Oak Lawn and one season at Lindblom High School of the Chicago Public League.

Devitt’s coaching resume also includes working the Reebok Breakout Challenge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as the Jim Whitesell Basketball Camp and the Dwyane Wade Skills Academy.

Director of Operations Fourth Year When a position came open Wright State head coach Billy Donlon didn’t have to look far when he asked his father, Bill Donlon, Sr. to be part of the Raider staff. Donlon, Sr., formerly an assistant coach at Providence (1982-87) and Northwestern (1987-94), has most recently Bill Donlon, Sr. been the dean of students at Lake Forest High School outside Chicago. During his time at Providence, Donlon, Sr. helped lead the Friars to the Final Four in 1987 and led the recruiting effort that included Billy Donovan, current University of Florida head coach. Donlon began his coaching career at St. John Villa Academy on Staten Island, New York, before moving to Maria Regina High School in Uniondale, New York, where his teams posted a three- year mark of 44-16. He then served three years as head coach at Methuen High School in Massachusetts, posting 49 wins and earning the school’s first two berths ever to the state tournament. At Methuen, one of Donlon’s players was Gary McLain, who went on to help Villanova to its 1985 NCAA title. A native of Sunnyside, New York, Donlon, Sr. graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in social relations in 1969. After starting two years on VCU’s basketball team, he pursued graduate work in sociology at John Jay College in New York.
