Missing in Newcastle I have said before from day to day you never really know what will turn up next. In July 1980 someone in Newcastle had a very busy day. We have just bought in a small quantity of unaddressed Post Office covers, with a Newcastle Upon Tyne FDI postmark, but the key thing with these is the 12p stamp is missing the ‘p’.
We would normally see these around once a year and they never stay in stock long at £150 each, buying a quantity means we can now offer this rare First Day Cover error for £25 each, the same price Stanley Gibbons list the mint stamp. She is also in the long running radio soap opera the Archers in which she has played the role of Shula Hebden-Lloyd since 1971.

ARB58 £400 The very scarce 1902 Coronation Day Beckenham Celebrations postcard, Tucks design. The committee for the Beckenham coronation celebrations organised a balloon flight for which two overprinted postcards were produced, one by Tucks and the other by Faulkner. They were flown and dropped from the balloon over three different parts of Kent and then forwarded onto the addressee with the balloon landing in Calais. It is believed that fewer than 10 cards of either type have survived, making this one of the rarest balloon post postcards in this country.
