CQUNIVERSITY AUSTRALIA 2019 SPORTS SCIENCE MVP COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

General terms and eligibility: 1. The promoter is CQUniversity Australia, Bruce Highway, Rockhampton QLD 4702. 2. Competition entries close 11.59 pm Wednesday, 30 October 2019. 3. Every entry will be considered by the judging panel and will be assessed on style, grammar, originality, entertainment value and relevance. 4. Ten winners will be selected and notified by 5pm Thursday, 31 October 2019. 5. All entrants must be available to attend the event at Aumuller St on Thursday, 7 November 8.30 – 11.30 am and the NBL game at the Convention Centre on Saturday, 9 November 2019, tip-off at 7 pm. 6. Students must be currently completing Year 10, 11 or 12. 7. Winners must be prepared to take notes from the game-day experience to later prepare content for upload to CQUni and Cairns Taipans blogs and communication platforms. 8. The winning students agree to their work being edited and/or published on CQUniversity and Cairns Taipans media channels. 9. By entering the competition, entrants will have accepted all terms and conditions. 10. To be eligible to win the prize, entrants must submit their completed entry online. 11. Entrants must be Australian residents. 12. One written entry will be accepted per student. 13. CQUniversity employees and their immediate family members are ineligible to enter the competition or win the prize. 14. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. 15. The promoter will not be held responsible for the loss, theft, damage or equipment failure to any prize after it has been collected by the prize winner, nor for any injury that results directly or indirectly from this competition. 16. The promoter’s decision is final and the promoter reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time. 17. By entering this competition the entrants and winners of this competition agree to future contact from the promoter, until such a time as they opt out; and agree to use of their image and likeness in all future communications relating to the competition.

How to enter: 18. Entries are accepted by completing the competition form online. 19. Entries received via mail or electronic mail will not be valid.

Prize package: The winners’ prize package, for ten winning entries, includes: a. Fitness, exercise and sport science workshop with CQUni Exercise and Sport Sciences lecturer Dr Joshua Guy b. Tour of the Sport Science labs shared with the CQUniversity Taipans and Cairns c. Corporate box seats to watch the CQUni Cairns Taipans take on the (estimated value of total pack, per winner is $135)

Winners will be contacted by 5 pm on Thursday, 31 October 2019 by email and phone and will be required to confirm their attendance of both events (Thursday, 7 November 8.30 – 11.30 am 2019 and Saturday, 9 November 7 pm 2019) by COB Friday, 1 November 2019. An inability to attend the game- day event will result in runner-up entries being offered the prize package.
