September 24th: Enjoy breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and meet your driver who will take you on a journey along the Antrim Coast. Today will be an incredible day of history and beauty. On the agenda today, you will visit the Giant’s Causeway, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites that is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Next (if there is time) you will head to the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, a famous bridge near Ballintoy. This bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. It spans 20 meters and is 30 meters above the rocks below. You will also have a stop and guided tour at Bushmills Distillery, the oldest licensed distillery in the world, dating back to 1608. You will continue on your way into Derry, placed by Lonely Planet as the fourth best city to visit in 2013 and awarded the first ever UK city of Culture for 2013, Derry is a place not to miss! As it’s the only completely walled city in Ireland and the British Isles, this history is rich and can be heard through the 1450 years of history and the 17th century walls. Spend the night in town enjoying dinner and the local pubs on your own and get ready for another day of adventure tomorrow!

September 25th: After checking out of your hotel this morning and having some breakfast, meet your driver to venture over back to the Republic of Ireland and into where you will be for the next few nights of your trip. County Donegal is famous for being the home of the once mighty Clann Dalaigh, whose most famous branch were the Clann O’ Domhnaill, better known in English as the O’Donnell Clan. Until around the 1600’s, the O’Donnell’s were one of Ireland’s richest and most powerful Gaelic ruling-families. You will be heading over today into the small town of Gweedore in Donegal for your next two nights of your trip! Gweedore is known for being a cradle of Irish culture with old Irish customs, traditional music, theatre, Gaelic games, and the playing a central and pivotal role in the lives of the local people. This, along with the scenery and many beaches, has made this a very popular tourist destination! Throughout the next two days you will discover the Clannad story and Moya’s musical memories with a special concert in Leo’s Tavern. There will also be visits to the Glenveagh National Park as well as Ardara Knitwear, a legend in Irish knitwear since 1902. Enjoy dinner at your hotel in Gweedore!

September 26th: Today is another day in beautiful County Donegal! Enjoy breakfast and get ready to uncover the natural beauty of this northern county. Donegal is the most mountainous in Ulster, consisting chiefly of two ranges of low mountains, the Derryveagh Mountains in the north and the Bluestack Mountains in the south, with Mount at 749 meters (2,457 feet) at the highest peak, while Malin Head is the most northerly point on the island of Ireland. In the area where you are staying, Gweedore, you will uncover its distinct physical features, including mountains, deep glens and lakes at the Glenveagh National Park, the largest national park in Ireland. Another landmark in this area is Bad Eddie (Eddie’s Boat), a shipwreck which as been situated on Magherclogher beach since the early 70’s where it has run ashore due to rough seas. September 27th: Check out of your hotel this morning after breakfast and meet your driver/guide who will take you on another day of touring around Donegal! You will begin today by heading over to one of the most incredible areas that I have been fortunate enough to visit in Ireland, the Slieve League Cliffs. Standing at the viewing point in on the cliffs in Donegal, an amazing sea vista and landscape open before you. From here, you can see across to counties Letrim, Sligo and Mayo, out to the west is the Atlantic Ocean, as far as the eye can see. Rising almost 2,000 feet, the Slieve League is one of the highest sea cliffs in Europe and twice as high as the Cliffs of Moher. Not only are the views stunning, but also you can feel the history that has developed from so long ago. Tonight you will enjoy an incredible dinner and spend the evening in the authentic Lough Eske Castle Hotel on Lough Eske and if you wake up early enough, you can ride bikes or walk around the castle grounds and capture some amazing pictures!

September 28th: Today you will head back into Northern Ireland today heading over to Omagh in County Tyrone. Omagh is situated where the rivers Drumragh and Camowen meet to form the Strule. Your visit today is the Uster American Folk Park, an open-air museum telling the story of three centuries of Irish immigration. With over 30 exhibit buildings to explore, visitors embark on a journey that takes them from the thatched cottages of Ulster, on board a full-scale emigrant sailing ship, to the log cabins of the American Frontier. With costumed guides to chat and traditional crafts to see, their historical story focuses on those who left Ulster for America in the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The museum is part of the National Museums Northern Ireland. Tonight, stay in Omagh, have dinner at your hotel, and enjoy the area and town before heading back tomorrow to Dublin for your last night in Ireland!

Included in your tour is entrance to the Guinness Storehouse located at St. James’s Gate Brewery. The Storehouse covers seven floors surrounding a glass atrium shaped in the form of Guinness. After an incredible tour and of course, a “pint of the black stuff” perhaps head to Grafton Street for some last minute shopping and then get ready for your last night’s evening of entertainment and a delicious meal! You will head first to the Bloom Brassiere for some incredible delights and then meet your transfers to take you to the Monkstown Church just about a half hour outside Dublin city for an incredible way to enjoy the music and listen to the wonderful sounds of the Voices & Harps!
